The next morning brought the news of Jin and Daisy having a baby girl. Tae couldn't be happier for his older brother and his mate. You were all celebrating. Sage cleared her throat and looked serious, making everyone quiet themselves.
"I hate to ruin this moment but there is something we need to talk about before Poppy gets here. In order for Poppy to help, she'll want details from the victims. She'll want it all. She wants to make sure that whoever this is deserves what she'll bring upon them." Sage said seriously.
"What will she bring upon them?" Namjoon said looking rather apprehensive.
"Whatever I see fit." Said a voice from the door.
The entire room jumped and moved away. Except for Jungkook and Jimin. They remained firmly in place staring at the two women at the door. Tae couldn't believe his eyes. The way that his two closest brothers were looking at these strangers was mind boggling. Then realization washed over him. Mates.
"See I told you, Lily. They were hear." The one who'd distributed the morning said.
"I didn't doubt you, Poppy." The other woman said.
All eyes went to the one called Poppy. Tae pulled you and Misha closer to him. You squeezed his hand. He felt more at ease. Your presence was balm to him.
"So you are the one called Willow. I can feel your magical trauma from here. It's rather abrasive." She said.
"Excuse me?" She asked her voice shaking.
Tae watched Willow carefully. He knew about her fear of the magically adept. He knew that this was very uncomfortable for her.
"All of you sit. Also you need to lock your doors. It was far to easy to slip past the pack of goons outside and into this house." Poppy said pulling a bar stool over and sitting down.
She examined the room carefully. Her eyes scanning each one of you in turn. She got to you and Misha.
"Can he come to me? It's fine if you or he is not comfortable." She asked carefully.
"Uhhh... if he wants to." You said quietly.
"Misha buddy can you go say hi to Miss Poppy?" Tae asked the boy.
Tae knew that this was important. Poppy needed the information in order to help. Misha needed to be brave. He gave the boy a reassuring smile. Misha smiled back warmly and melted Tae's insides.
"Ok." The boy said softly.
He was rather boisterous boy. It was odd for him to be this quiet or shy. He knew that something serious was occurring. He was nervous. The boy went up to the new woman. She left the stool and knelt to his level. She offered her hands. He placed his tiny ones in hers. She closed her eyes.
"Misha, tell me what makes you the most happy." She asked.
"Playing with Kookie, or ChimChim. RoRo reading to me. Wrestling with Joonie. Dancing with Hobi and Low. Sagey playing games with me. Yoonie napping with me. DD and Jinnie swimming with me. Tae making Mommy happy." The boy said smiling.
The woman smiled and opened her eyes. There were slight tears in them that she wiped swiftly away. She examined the boy. Tae couldn't begin to understand what she was doing. He wanted to stop her from hurting Misha. She wasn't though. Misha seemed perfectly safe. Something still made his hackles raised.
"You are a very lucky boy. You have so many wonderful people who love you. Tell me something Misha, do you miss your daddy?" She asked and tension filled the room.
"No." Misha said looking at the ground.
"I see. He's still your daddy, though." Poppy said not unkindly just as a fact.
