The Next Morning

After the hospital released Vixen this morning I brought her back to my place. I didn't want her being home alone while that nigga was still roaming around free. So my home was the safest place for her right now. Lalo and I had already planned to take care of everything. I hated to dig back into my old ways but this was going to be a one time thing, hopefully.

Vixen had just fallen to sleep after taking some pain medication the doctor had prescribed to her. Giving her a kiss on her forehead I eased out of bed as I checked my watch. Melanie should be arriving soon to keep an eye on Vixen for me. As I walked out of my bedroom the doorbell rang. Right on time. Walking down the hallway I opened the door, Melanie stood before me with various shopping bags. Knitting my eyebrows together Melanie just laughed.

"If Vixen is going to be saying here for a while we need her comfortable Adrian" she says while entering my home

"Nah you just wanted a reason to shop that's all that is" I chuckled inching towards the door "I shouldn't be out too long, but she's in my room sleeping right now. Help yourself to anything"

"I most definitely will. See you later Adrian" Melanie said placing the bags on the couch

I gave Melanie a head nod as I left out my house. Retrieving the keys from my pocket I unlocked the doors to my Trackhawk, climbing inside of the truck I closed the door. Taking a deep breath, I exhaled sharply before starting the engine. Backing out my driveway, I pulled off heading towards me and Nasir's meeting place.

Killing someone wasn't new to me, this wouldn't be the first time I have taken life from someone. In my defense, the couple of people I killed weren't good people. I felt I did the world service of getting rid of them. If you can go to sleep peacefully at night after you killed innocent people you had to be a sadistic ass person. I mean I probably had no room to talk my shit.

After driving twenty minutes I arrived at an abandoned candy factory on the west side of Chicago. Driving down the service road I saw Lalo's Mercedes along with a CPD (Chicago Police Department) detective car. Parking my truck I exited the SUV pulling my hood over my head. As I walked to the door Detective Matthews was standing outside the building. Detective Matthews used to be on Lalo and I's payroll. He kept us out of a lot of trouble and we made him a pretty wealthy man from it.

"Long time no see Adrian" Detective Matthews said with a small chuckle

"Yeah I was hopin' I would never see yo bald head ass again" I replied with a chuckle of my own although I was serious

"Whatever youngin' the nasty motherfucker is in there. Lalo and his boys beat his ass something good. Just make sure both your hands are clean"

"I will, thanks for lookin' out" I said expressing my gratitude

Taking out an envelope that housed ten thousand dollars I handed it over to him. Detective Matthews opened the envelope, a sly smile curled along his lips. Tucking the money into his leather trench coat, he walked over to his car. Once I heard him leaving I entered the abandoned factory. As I trekked through the run-down halls the sounds of blows landing against flesh echoed throughout the dark halls. A light shined through a door giving away that's where Lalo and the guy were.
