Mephiles was awaiting Miss Rose's appearance. He had already ordered himself some breakfast. French bread and black coffee. Not the greatest combination, but to Mehpiles it was pretty delicious. He pulled out his phone and began scrolling through news articles about political conflicts and new deaths.

I feel like this happens everyday. . .
He thought to himself.

Suddenly, he sees a breathless Amy approach his table, "Oof- I-I'm sorry!" She took deep breaths. Mephiles noticed that her legs were trembling.

She must've ran.

He pulled his crimson scarf below his chin and drank his coffee. On the other hand, Amy sat across from him, having this smile that seemed almost forced.
"Well, Miss Rose. What took you so long?"

"W-Well, I. . . Uh. . . Hehe. . ." She grinned nervously, ". . . Y-You see, I umm. . . Was looking for a. . . Pretty outfit for myself!" Amy exclaimed.

"I see. . ." Mephiles took another sip, "Miss Rose, you're already pretty. Even now, all I see is someone who isn't telling me the full story." He placed his elbow onto the table and rested his chin on his hand. While tapping his index finger.
Amy felt embarrassed, she brushed a part of her quills with her fingertips.
"A friend came to my place this morning. Well. . . More like childhood friend." Miss Rose admitted, she couldn't tell Mephiles about Sonic or Tails. It was because she didn't know Mephiles very well, or what his true intentions are.
"Ok, that's good. Well. . . Here." Mephiles slid a business card towards Amy, who was a bit confused. "It's my business card, I'm a therapist, part time."[

"Y-You're a therapist?" Amy seemed surprised at this, but it sort of made some things add up, except for Silver's accusations about him. Maybe I'll research about it. . .
She picked up the card and examined it with both of her fingertips. "You take calls?"

"Yep. Said so on the card." His deep voice made Amy's ears perk a bit. She wondered if many clients mostly go to him to listen to that soothing voice of his and that comforting addition. The petite girl placed the business card against close to her chest and looked up to meet Mephiles's gaze.

"W-Well, thank you. But I don't think my situation was that serious." She shrugged, still gently clenching onto the card.

". . . Tell me, how much does this problem cause your thoughts to be clouded that you lose sight of something infront of your very eyes?" Amy hadn't really thought of that, and it made her stomach wretch. Even though she didn't eat anything rotten. Mephiles leaned in closer, now both of the elbows on the table and hands clasped together to rest his chin on.

"I-I. . ."

Slam! The barista boy from yesterday placed a single menu on the table. "Goodmorning, Amy!" He smiled cheerily. The blanc furred hedgehog must've noticed them from afar and couldn't let Mephiles do whatever he wanted to Amy.
She felt relieved that Silver came to her rescue, it almost reminded her of Sonic and those younger days. "Goodmorning, Silver!" Amy fake smiled back, she actually felt like puking at that moment but that burden of embarrassment, she could taste the bitterness. "How are you this morning?" Amy tilted her head to the side gently, showing them the innocent side of the Amy Rose herself.

"I'm great! Just can't help but notice you look pretty exhausted. Would you like something to re-energize yourself?"

"This isn't an advertisement, boy." Mephiles interrupted.

"No, no, it's fine, Mephiles. Really." Amy looked at Silver once again, "Mocha, with extra sweetener!" Clearly, she had two entirely different personalities for the two.
And then Silver went away, still locking eyes with Mephiles though.
