Hauntings Of The Past

~in the morning~

(Y/N pov:)

I only slept for an hour or two. I just couldn't sleep in this village knowing what happened here. Not in this house but in this village. It still hurts. I held my chest to calm the pain and let out a few tears without making any noise. I shared my room with Naruto. Sasuke and Kakashi sensei in the other one. Naruto had forced to be with me to make sure I sleep fine knowing what I might be going through. He's such a lovely guy but I can't tell him everytime I cry so I kept it to myself making sure he doesn't hear anything.

The pain slowly faded and I went back to normal. I heard a knock on the door. I stood up and opened it to reveal the masked ninja. "Good morning sensei.", I said with a smile. He nodded with a smile,"Good morning. Get ready, we will be heading out soon." I nodded,"Yes, sensei." He went away and I went back to the bed closing the door. I packed my stuff as I called out to Naruto to wake up.

He sat up rubbing his eyes,"Y/N? Did you get good sleep last night?"

"Yeah, it wasn't very comfortable, but, I can make back to the village without any problem." I smiled.

"Okay, I guess that will work. Don't worry, I'll make sure none of your past comes back. I'll protect you with my life, it's a promise.", he smiled his optimistic smile.

"Thanks Naruto." I hugged him as I said it almost about to cry. He's everything I would want my brother to be. I let him go,"Now, come on, pack your stuff. We are heading out soon." He nodded and started his routine.

I sat on the bed and took out my mother's photo that I always keep with me. I hugged her photo and whispered as if I'm talking to her,"Please watch over me, mom. I don't want to meet him so soon. I'm not yet ready for it." Tears start rolling down my eyes. "But, I promise I will get you justice. I'll become so much more stronger and kill that man." My tears turning into anger. I kissed my mother's cheek and kept it back in my bag. I wiped my tears and got dressed in my ninja gear.

Naruto stood ready and we both went out to the dining room. I sat beside Naruto. Kakashi sensei and Sasuke were already sitting there. We ate our breakfast, greeted the head goodbye and head out of the village in the same formation.

As the house came back in view, I removed my eyes from the surroundings and kept on walking without thinking about anything else. Naruto noticed and comforted me. "I'll never be able to see this house again without those memories flashing." I whispered slowly to Naruto. He rubbed my back,"It's fine, you don't have to be here ever again. Atleast, not alone. I will be with you." I nodded slowly and we walked to the gates.

(Kakashi pov:)

Y/N seems pretty messed up. She was like this even when we entered the village yesterday. Does she know this place? Did something happen to her here? And, its this exact place. Seems to be the house. What's the story behind this? I can't just ask her, she doesn't seem good at all. Maybe it's the vibe, even I don't like it. But, why right here? Why not anywhere else? She even went to the market with Naruto and came back happy and cheery. What happened here?!

These thoughts were wrecking my brain when I saw her relax as we went out of the vicinity of the house. Naruto came back to his place and we continued our journey.

(Y/N pov:)

This feels better. Away from him and that house. I want to kill him the moment I see him but he will be too powerful. I have to be so much stronger if I have to make my mother proud and get her justice. I can't keep running away from him. I'm not that 6 year old girl anymore.
