True Love Hurts (Kakashi x Reader)

New Mission

~next morning~

(Kakashi pov:)

We were all summoned by the Hokage. When we enetered, there stood an elegant lady looking like a queen. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail. (I told you I'm bad at introduction, Sorry)

"Team 7, this is Princess Aiko. Your today's mission is to escort her to her village situated at the border of the land of fire in the east." Lord third said as we stood in front of him. We all nodded. "This is a C rank mission but there won't be any ninja attacks. Mostly robbers, make sure she gets there safely. You all will depart in 2 hours. Go, get ready all of you. Kakashi, you stay."

We all nodded. Everyone left, even the princess and I stood for Lord third to continue,"This mission is for Y/N to get her mind off of things. Take care of her. And, by that I mean don't let her run off to get her revenge. She might do something. Also, I'm saying this specifically because the anbu that I sent to investigate has sent a message through a bird telling us that the man is the head of the gangster group and everyone, even the head of the village is terrified of him."

I nodded,"You don't have to worry, Lord third. I'll keep her by my side at all times."

"Good, you can go now." He said with a smile.

I went to my house and started packing thinking about the times I will get to be alone with her.

~Time skip to 2 hours later at the gates~

(Y/N pov:)

Everyone has arrived except the most important person. The PRINCESS!! "I'm getting tired of waiting!",Naruto said with impatience.

"Calm down, Naruto. It's not like you can do anything.",I said while internally exploding myself.

A few minutes later, Lord third came to the gates with the princess.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Naruto screams at them. I put my hand on his mouth,"You can't just scream at the princess like this." I remove my hand when he nods in defeat.

We all head out to the village. Me being in front with the princess. Naruto and Sasuke behind us and Kakashi sensei at the back.

I don't get it. Why does he always choose to stay at the back? I am never able to look at him. These are the times when I wish I had my eyes on the back. It would be so heart warming to look at him all the time. And, what if sometimes when no one is looking, he takes off is mask?! Ugh, this suspense is killing me. I wanna see his face.

These thoughts enveloped my mind before I saw 2 men standing in our way. My thought bubble burst and I stood in front of the princess with the kunai in my hand.

"Oh, look, this little girl thinks she can protect the princess." One of them said with an evil laugh.

"Hey, isn't that the girl our boss has been hunting down all these years." The other one said stepping a bit further. "Looks like we just hit double jackpot." Both of them smirked.

I put my kunai down processing the words,"Oh, so you are his men. Eh, my energy is not to be wasted on lowlives like you. Back off, I don't have time to play with you two." I said keeping my kunai back.

"Don't let your guard down, Y/N." Sasuke said with a little anger.

"Kakashi sensei, I wanna have a little fun before I kill them. They are to die, that's for sure. And, I'll kill them with their swords. You 3 take care of the princess." I said as I looked at Sasuke with a confident smile.

Kakashi smiled proudly looking at me,"As you say, Y/N. You all heard what our personal princess said." All 4 of them stepped back.

Naruto whispers to Kakashi,"Will she be fine, Kakashi sensei?"

"Just trust her words, Naruto. This is what she waited for." Kakashi said as he stood relaxed.

I stood there with my hands clenched in a fist and anger burning in my eyes remembering his face. "Scared much, little girl?" One of them asked stepping forward.

I smirked,"Yeah, scared for you. I hope you two fulfilled your last wishes before coming here."

"Let's see if your hands work well like your little mouth." He said and came at me with his sword.

I stood there unmoved, grabbed his wrist before he could touch me. I stared at him with a death glare, twisted his wrist causing him to drop his sword. I smiled as I twisted his arm behind his back and kicked him in the back causing his shoulder to dislocate.

"You go, Y/N!" Naruto hyped me up.

I picked up the sword. "I hope you put on a good show." I looked at the other guy. He came running towards me with his sword and attacked me. I blocked it with my sword. He attacked me with all sorts of techniques and I dodged them all easily. I made sure I don't hit any vital spots and landed few attacks on him causing him to bleed from basically all body parts. He falls to the ground beside the other man.

"Now.." I said as I stepped towards the bleeding man and put the sword towards his neck. "You will tell me everything about your boss and I will let you go or you will die right here, right now." The other guy stood up and tried to attack me. I kicked him in the stomach and pinned his hand to the tree by throwing a kunai. "Stay still or you will be next." I glared at him.

I turned my gaze to the man laying on the ground pushing the sword further almost touching his neck. "SPEAK!" He shivered and said,"He is the real ruler of the village. He has over 200 people in his command. And 50 people stay at guard at his house."

"What does he want from me?" I asked with death glares.

"He said if you agree to his terms, you will be the next heir but if you disagree, he will either kill you or capture you. Either way, he will get money out of you." He said.

I pushed the sword in his throat. "That's all I needed to know." I said as a little blood splat on my hand. I took the other sword and went to the other person,"I would let you go but you will barely last an hour. Let me end your pain." I said devilishly and pinned him from his stomach with the sword. I took the kunai out and turned to blushing Kakashi, excited Naruto, smiling Sasuke and a horrified princess.

Is he BLUSHING?! What is he thinking about? Am I showing some skin or something?

(Kakashi pov:)

As I thought, her anger and hatred is hot. The way her hair flowed in the air as she attacked the person with the sword, WOW.

I didn't realize I was blushing till she looked at me with confused eyes. I quickly hid my emotions,"Great job, Y/N! Get yourself cleaned up and we will head back." She nodded and went to the river. I suddenly remembered my promise to Lord third and walked after her,"You 2 stay with the princess, we will be right back." I followed her there. She washed her kunai, hands and face as well. She stood and we walked back to the group.

We all continued our journey in the same formation. She kicked the man out of the way. I admired her hair bouncing with every step she took.
