I Knew

(Y/N pov:)

About a week has passed since I arrived here and so far, no one has suspected me. I'm just in my room thinking about Kakashi or I go out for some grocery shopping where basically no one said that they know me. Everything is going great and I'm happy to be back here but at the same time, sad to be so far away from everyone I love.

I'm missing them way too much now. So, I went to the river I used to go to for some relaxation time. My ankle is healed too so it was easy to travel now. I sat down at my usual spot looking at the river, letting my hair flow freely in the breeze while still keeping my transformation jutsu intact and chakra covered.

(3rd pov:)

It was the time for team 7's break. Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke all were resting under a tree when Naruto just wanted to go to the river for some unknown reason. (I can't come up with something.😅)

He got up in a hurry while Kakashi yelled out to him, "Come back quickly!" He just gave a thumbs up in response and went to the river side. He bent down beside the river and washed his hands and sweaty face. He sure is getting stronger to try to find his sister. Or maybe just trying to show her he's doing alright because he feels his sister is with him and looking over him.

He sensed someone on the far left and went to check out. He saw a beautiful young girl sitting beside the river lost in her thoughts. She was someone he has never seen in the village before. And, he wanted to know who it was. It felt to him that he somehow knew that girl. He walked to her and gave her his hand, "Hey, never seen you here before. Are you new to this village?" He said in his sweetest voice.

The girl snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the hand following the person who it belonged to. She held a smile and politely shook his hand, "Yeah, I'm just a traveler."

"Oh cool! What's your name?" Naruto said sitting beside her.

"Mizuki. Yours?" She said with a smile.

"Naruto Uzumaki."

"Cute name."

"Thanks." He said with a shy smile, "So, how are you here in the hidden leaf?"

"Well, I just had a sprain in my ankle and this was the closest village. So, I've been staying here for over a week now. I'll be heading out soon."

"Oh. Is your ankle okay now?" He asked with concern.

"Yeah, it's alright now. It healed up completely." She said looking at her ankle.

"Well, I-" He was interrupted by a voice.

"Naruto? What are you doing here? I told you to come back as fast as you could!" It was Kakashi's. He was mad, real mad. But, he softened when he saw the girl.

"Kakashi sensei! I was just about to come!" He said in a timid voice.

Kakashi came near and sat down beside him, "Well, no need now. Sasuke left. He was called by the Hokage."

"Oh..." Naruto said looking away.

"So, you are a ninja?" Mizuki said looking at Naruto.

"Yup! And, I will be Hokage soon!" Naruto said with a bright smile.

"Sorry if he said something wrong. He's still a little childish." Kakashi said with a smile.

"Oh, he said nothing wrong." Mizuki ruffled his hair, "He's the sweetest boy I've ever met."

"Thank you." Naruto grinned, "So, how long are you here?"

"Probably a few more days. I don't know. When I feel like I've seen enough, I'll move to other village." Mizuki said looking at the river with a sad smile.

"Missing someone?" Kakashi said looking at her.

"Sort of." She said with a sad chuckle, "It's been so long since we met, everything just seems...." she took a long pause, "....off without them."

"Then, let's go have Ramen! It will cure you!" Naruto said with a giggle.

Mizuki chuckled, "That's weird but I don't mind."

Kakashi smiled, "Let me show you something first, come on."

"O-Kay....?" Mizuki said confused and they all got up. Kakashi led them and they followed. After a while, he stopped in front of a house.

Mizuki pointed out to an inn, "Hey, that's where I'm staying. How did you know?" She looked at Kakashi.

"Actually, I'm here to take you to this house." He said and opened the door to his house which was just in front of the inn.

He welcomed both of them with a smile and they entered confused.

"Why did you bring me to your house?" Mizuki said confused.

"I told you, to show you something." Kakashi said with a smile and started going to his bedroom motioning them to follow him. He took them to the window and opened it. He pointed out to the window that was in front of his, "Is that where you are staying?"

She looked closely and nodded, "Yup. How and why do you know?" She was confused.

"Kakashi sensei? What's going on?" Naruto said confused.

"Nothing." He said closing the window. He looked back at Mizuki and smiled, "Naruto? Why don't you go and wait for us in the living room. We will be right there." His visible eye not leaving her confused ones for even a second.

She was practically stepping back in scare from him. Naruto just shrugged and went out. Kakashi could feel the scare in her eyes. To calm her down, he stepped back and took off his mask and headband.

"Wh-what did you mean by that?" She said trying to stop her stutter.

"Just that..." He got a little closer, enough to not make her uncomfortable and pulled the strand of her hair from her face to the back of her ear with a smile on his face, "....no matter what you do. You may fool Naruto or others but not me."

"What do you mean by that?" She said with a little scare.

He pulled her into a tight hug. She was taken by surprise and lost control over her transformation jutsu. She gasped in shock.

"Don't worry. I'm covering your chakra." Kakashi said with a smile kissing her head.

"You....knew...?" Y/N said, her eyed widened in shock.

They both parted and he cupped her cheeks, "How can I not know where you are? I love you, Y/N. I would recognize you even in a crowd." That put a sad smile on her face and she was almost about to cry. She jumped back and hugged him tight laying her head on his chest, "I missed you so much, Kakashi..."

"I missed you too, Y/N." Kakashi said putting his arms around her. After a few moments, they parted and Kakashi wiped the small droplets of tears that formed on her cheeks.

"How long have you been knowing?" She said calming down.

"The moment I saw you with Naruto. I knew it was you and when you said you were missing someone, that made me believe it's you." Kakashi gave her a smile and she smiled back.

She pulled him down into a kiss. The kiss was deep, passionate and full of love. Something that defined their love perfectly. After a minute or so, they parted and were smiling.

"I missed this." Y/N said taking in the much needed oxygen.

"Me too..." Kakashi said kissing his beloved on her forehead. They pulled each other into another hug they have been missing for what felt like an eternity.

(A/N: 43rd Chapter!! Again, no idea where I'm taking the story too. I've just decided the ending. That's the aim. Rest whatever happens in the middle, I don't know.🤐)
