Elizabeth's POV
I've always wanted an adventure, of course, every girl wishes for that, but I think I got a little bit more than I expected. Hi! My name's Elizabeth and I'm the Princess of Narwania. I'm sure you've heard of our Magical events and Balls but this time of year not everything is great. The thing is, I've always wanted to become an agent, I love the mystery, all of that. It's truly my dream but my father, Harold unfortunately doesn't quite agree. He doesn't like any of the things that come with it, but of course, I do! I truly believe what keeps him back is my mother's passing, he hasn't quite been himself since then. She passed away when I was only a child, five to be exact. She was killed in a fire on one of her missions. As you may have guessed, yes she was an agent. I don't quite understand why I mustn't take risks, as my father said but risk comes with life and after this I surely understand that. This is a story about friendships, trust and risk. I've learnt to fulfill my dream, no matter what it takes!
*Real time*
Suddenly, a knock came upon the door. Elizabeth closed her diary, and turned to the door where she heard the source of the sound. She lifted her head up a little, "Who is it?" she questioned. A young girl poked her head round the door. "Good morning, dear Elizabeth!" smiled a pleasant soul, Savanah. "A pleasant good morning Savanah," replied Elizabeth. "I hope you had a wonderful rest your majesty?" Savanah asked, tilting her head a bit to get the princesses attention. "Ah yes. I did," "Also, remember my lady, breakfast is at seven as well as horse riding practice at," Savanah stated until interrupted by the princess. Elizabeth took a deep breath. "Yes, Savanah. I am aware of my schedule today," "Now, now princess, you don't want to keep your father waiting," reminded the girl. "I will get ready. Please bring the soaps to my room when you can. Thank you," Elizabeth remarked. After she cleansed herself, she got undressed from her night gown into a dress - A white one with long and beautiful puff sleeves, with a full skirt and matching stockings. Elizabeth smiled and took a deep breath, looking confidently at herself, as every lady should. She brushed back a lock of her hair and looked to head out of her room. She was really a beautiful girl. Her eyes sparkled under the sun's light, her beige curls dancing behind her. And her lips were as red as the reddest apple. Now that she had changed, she now began to feel butterflies in her stomach. She was so afraid to talk to her father about what had been on her mind for the past few days. She was tired of being locked in the palace. And even though, her dad gave her the nicest things, bought her nice clothes and jewelry, it was not enough, she wished for a relationship with him. Ever since her mother died, they grew apart and argued a lot. She did hope that one day, all of that would change. Her thoughts were interrupted as she approached a familiar figure with brown eyes and tidy hair. "Pleasant morning, Father!" and Elizabeth gave her father a curtsy and took her seat. He turned towards her and smiled. They dined in the middle of a hall, where architecture and numerous pictures were hung up on the walls of the large space. Elizabeth ate slowly and politely, trying to contain her anxiety and fear of how her father would react to what she was about to say next. She took a napkin, and patted the corners her mouth and dipped her hands. "Ummm... Uh. Now, father... I have to tell you something," Elizabeth told. "Yes dear," father answered as he sat up and gazed at his daughter with a concerned look. "Dad. I uggh... I really want to live my dreams. I need to have a life! I can't stay cooped up in this palace like a dove. I need to spread my wings and fly! Why can't I?" Elizabeth asked. "Darling. As royals we honour and serve our people. Besides, my love, you don't want to end up like your mother... Do you?" dad spoke lovingly. Elizabeth's face turned blank as she remembered that night that the guard in a little black hat bowed his head and spoke of her mother's death. A tear fell from her eye. And trying not to show any emotions, she wiped her tears away as quick as can be and then continued to speak. "But dad... It's my dream. I really want to be..." she spoke passionately. Her father banged his hand onto the dining table and stood up. "Don't say another word young lady! You are sixteen now! Give up this nonsense! You need to only serve your kingdom!" The King shouted angrily. Elizabeth stood up, banging her hands onto the table, "You know what. Whatever! I don't care what you say!" she yelled and ran out of the hall, and slammed her door shut. She slid down onto the floor, against the white painted wood of her door, to sit on the marble floors. At that moment, she saw, at the corner of her eye one of her mom's notebooks, about to fall off her bookshelf. She stood up and gave a glance around and then closed her blinds. She let the book fall into her hands. Dusting it, she opened it up to the first page, which read, 'How can a princess become what they want to be?' the answer underneath was plain and simple, attend a school for all royals, the OFYD, the Organization For Fulfilling Your Dreams. This was amazing. It was like it was a sign from her mother herself. But one thing that really bugged her was, she heard of this place before, but from where?
