We were all sitting at a fire just laughing and talking.

"Shane said you were dead." I heard Carl mutter to dad.

"We'll you guys had every right to believe that." Dad explained.

I looked over at mom to see her face tense up, she looked really angry. Probably at Shane.

"So how are we gonna tell Dixon?" Morales asked.

"I dibs out." I immediately said.
"What if we don't tell him." Carol added to the conversation.

"I'm pretty sure Daryl's gonna notice Merle not being here." I said and everyone agreed.

Daryl was out on a hunting trip so he didn't know Merle wasn't here.

I zoned out the rest of the conversation and I stared at Carl.

He was sleeping.
"I'll take Carl to the tent." I whispered to Dad and he nodded.
I carefully lifted up my brother and put him over my shoulder.

I unzipped the tent and lay Carl down on his bed.
"Goodnight Carl." I said kissing his forehead.
I make sure I zip up the tent as I walk back to the fire.

____*The next day*_____

When I wake up I see it's just me and Dad in the tent.
I lift myself up so I'm sitting and I comb my hair.

Just as I go to stand my dad wakes up.

"Hey Pumpkin." He said and I smiled.

When I was 7 he always called me pumpkin.
"Hi." I said unzipping the tent and climbing out.

I watch my dad crawl out of the tent just as Daryl arrived.
"Who's this fella?" He asked pointing to dad.
"Rick." Amy said.
Daryl nodded looking around.

"Morales came back, Glenn came back, Lizzie came back, Andrea came back, T-dog and Jacqui came back, Now where's my brother?" Daryl asked.

no one said anything.
"He was being loud and obnoxious." Andrea said.
"So Rick handcuffed him to the roof." Morales said.

"And I dropped the damn key." T-dog mumbled.
"WHAT!" Daryl screamed.
"It was his fault!" I yelled at him.

"Ya'll left my brother for dead!"
Daryl started
"And I'm gonna get 'em"

"We'll all go." Dad said.
"No! You just got back and I don't want to lose my dad again." I explained.

"And you are staying here." Dad said pointing to me.

I sighed and sat on a big rock by the fire pit.
"Me, Glenn and Daryl will go." Dad said.

**WHEN.THEY.LEAVE**
"Bye." I said hugging Dad, Glenn and Daryl.

They were all in the truck when Carl escaped my mom and chased it as they drove away.

"Carl!" I yelled chasing after him.
We made it to the highway when he finally slowed down and I grabbed him.

I looked him in the eye and he was crying.
"Carl, dad is going to be okay and he's coming back. I promise." I said and hugged him.

Just then I heard the moans, I heard branches snapping and leaves crunching.
"Carl stay close." I said.
I watched a herd of walkers come out of the bushes.

I stabbed them as they became closer and closer to me and Carl.

There were to many! I had to scream.
"HELP HELP!!!" I cried out. I watched as Morales T-Dog, Shane and Andrea came and started killing them off.
I grabbed Carl and he wrapped his legs around my as I ran up the road to the RV.

When we were out of walker distance I set Carl down.
"Were you bit?" I asked and he shook his head.
Thank god.

I hugged Carl one last time before sending him into the RV.
Everyone ran up to me after Carl went inside.
"Was he bit or scratched!!" Mom asked and I shook my head.
"Just scared."
