it has been a couple of months since jo and alex have been trying, their lives had been normal except for the fact that they have been having non-stop increíble sex, which non of it has been successful, and the both of them are always down when the stick turns negative. but in a way the knew this could take time.
When jo woke up Alex was already gone to work, when she checked her phone she noticed that she was a couple of days late but she didn't thought much about it because she was never a clock when it came to her period. But because she and Alex where trying she decided that when she got to the hospital she would do a pregnancy test, just to take her mind out of it.
When she got to the hospital she did some paperwork and the she had rounds, she also had two surgeries before having some alone time, she went to a supply closet to take out a pregnancy test, but before she could go in the bathroom to use it she was page to the ER. In the ER she had to treat a patient who ended up taking up the rest of her day so she ended up forgetting about the test
When she came home she saw the test in her purse she decided to take it without telling Alex who was already home from work, she went to the bathroom and peed in the thing, she left it on the sink while she waited for the results.
After the three minutes past Jo checked the test and when she's saw the results her body was paralyzed but the only thing that came out of her mouth was "OH MY GOD" this caused Alex who was in the kitchen eating some cereal for dinner to get up to check that everything was OK with Jo when he entered the bathroom Jo was holding the test and Alex trying to read the scene asked her:
"Is everything OK? are you OK?"
And jo without taking her eyes of the test and still on shock
Jo responded "yes I'm more than OK"
Alex still confused said "oh because I heard you scream, so I wanted to check that you were OK"
Jo interrupted him "Alex....... Alex I'm pregnant"
Alex ran to her and pick her up into a hug "oh my god this is amazing" he reacted
"we are finally having a baby"- jo added while some tears started to run down her face
"yes we are" - Alex responded without taking his eyes from jo
