Chapter7: like the sky

Wednesday

Jo's POV

it has been a couple of days since Helen came to stay with us , and it has been great actually, well mostly i got so tired from the weekend and from touring the city that i actually had to skip work on Monday to rest, which wasn't so bad, but i missed surgery and to even think this is gonna be my life now and how i wasn't even at the middle of this pregnancy disturbed me a little, actually we are finding out the gender tomorrow and we are asking Helen to come with us.

Alex wants a boy and a girl so we will have one of each, i'm not really sure what i would prefer but i feel like we are either having two boys or two girls

it was now night and the three of them sat for dinner they were having some pasta that Alex had prepared

"so how was work for the both of u " Helen asked the couple

"it was good" jo said

"yeah me too" said Alex," i finally found some new lungs for this kid i've been treating for weeks"Alex said

" that's wonderful " Helen said proud

"that great" jo said

"well while both of u were out there saving lives" "i knitted you this hats for my future grandchildren " Helen said as she pulled the hats out of her knitting purse and handed them to jo

"helen this are adorable, thank you so much" jo said enthusiastic

"mom you didn't have to do that" alex said to helen

"i don't mind, i like doing" helen said

while alex and jo admire the gift

"i did neutral colors because I suppose you don't know the gender jet?"

" tomorrow is our next appointment and I'm pretty sure we're finding out the gender" alex responded

" yeah we are" jo affirmed to alex

" actually we wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with us" jo added

" i'm honored but I couldn't take that moment from you guys" helen said

" no mom please we insist" alex said

" how about this you find out the gender and I'll be waiting outside and then you call me in so I can see the babies "

Jo and Alex looked at each other

" it's the only thing I will acept" helen added

"okay then" Alex smiled to her mom and then to jo

they ended up their dinner and went to bed

the next day ....

everybody woke up in the the jolex loft household, they had some eggs and bacon, and after getting ready they drove to the hospital

while jo went to check some charts, Alex and Helen waited for the appointment time and for jo obv

it was now 10:30 am and carina called them in, but jo was still in the 4th floor

=jo where are u carina is already here

=sorry i'm on the elevator and it's taking forever

=okay i'll tell her

=thnk u see u in 5

"i'm here i'm here, i'm sorry" jo said while jo entered the room out of breath

"hey jo how are u feeling" carina asked her

"good, better, bigger," jo kept adding while uncovering herself

"great, i'm glad to hear" carina said

alex helps jo to get up the table

"so let's see how this babies are going" carina said smiling as she installed everything

"okay so everything looks good both babies look perfectly healthy " carina said affirmed

jo and alex just smiled at each other while admiring the screen

"so jo you are at 20 weeks 2 days" carina said

"yeah that adds up " jo said without taking her eyes of her screen

"a boy !" alex shouts

"what" jo says confused

"look one of them is a boy" alex said exciting

jo started laughing in happiness and tirs up a few tears (she insist are from the hormones)

"that's right" carina affirms

" and the other one is a..........boy too" carina adds

"two boys!!! " alex says really happy to jo, who was already super happy abt the news

"i know" jo replies

they called Helen in she sees the babies, 

she comes in and admires the babies, And she finds out they're boys, she's of course so happy and can't wait for her next visit when they're born

After the appointment Jo and Helen returned to the loft and Alex stayed for a surgery he had scheduled then he returns home too, they all had dinner and they helped Helen pack for tomorrow

the next day they say goodbye and Alex takes Helen home 

when they get to Helen's house Alex says goodbye and check that everything is OK, as he is driving alone at night he gets something to eat and then hits the road again

Around 2 AM at night jo hears Alex coming home (she couldn't sleep so she waited for him)

"Hey Jo! I'm home" Alex says as he sees the lights on

"Hey Alex! how was the road? are you tired? do you want something to eat?" jo said glad that her husband is home 

"no thank u, I just want to sleep" ales responds as he jumps to bed with jo and gives her hello kiss 

"how are my boys?" Alex asked as he got comfortable 

"keeping me company" jo responded as she stretched her hand for Alex to grab

Alex grabbed Jo's hand and just smiled 

"are u a little sad that one of them wasn't a girl like u wanted" jo asked 

"kinda, but boys are awesome!!" Alex responded "beside the next one can be a girl and will be my little princess" Alex added

"hey! easy on that third one, aren't u pleased already with these two!"jo says jokingly 

"No" Alex says as he get on top of jo

Jo starts laughing, as she is getting all moved up by Alex. they both start kissing, but then jo interrupts

"Alex, we can't have sex, there is already two in there"jo says 

"we can" Alex says disappointed

"unless u want two premies" jo says 

"but u are only five month" Alex fights

"with twins" jo reminds him

"and..." Alex continues

"I'm not risking it" jo says 

"jo, you know that you actually going into labor its minimum, even with twins" Alex says 

jo just stares at Alex, who was anxiously waiting to start kissing jo again

"fine, but this is the last time you are having it until after they are born" jo says secretly really wanting to have sex with her husband 

Alex just smiled and continued with his work.
