The Karev's Family, (Jolex what if)

Chapter 3: Just tired

it was a week since jo and Alex found out they were pregnant, they decided to keep it a secret bc it was to early to start telling people but the past days Jo's morning sicknesses has been getting worse but she has pushed through.

today she woke up to a pool of puke coming up her throat, she ran to the bathroom and Alex went behind her to help , she spent about 15 min puking causing Alex to start get concerned:

"jo i think you should stay home today" said Alex

"no no i'm fine" jo responded trying to swallow the bad taste

"no i'm serious you don't look well, and you should start taking it easy " Alex said still concerned

"i'm fine i promised" jo said as she got up from the floor "it will pass"

Alex wasn't good with the idea of Jo going to work but he let it slide because he knew, he wouldn't win a fight to his now pregnant wife, specially about her body

at the hospital....

around 12 pm jo went into surgery, her morning sickness had calmed down from this morning, but when she was scrubbing in she felt a little bit dizzy but she didn't thought much of it

she was an hour in when all her surrounding started to spin around she realize she had no control over her movements and the last thing she remembers is falling to the ground

Meredith pov

we were doing a simple procedure with Jo and as a resident we had Helm, Jo didn't look so well but I didn't said anything and. In surgery Jo threw away their instruments so I asked her as if she was good 

"Jo are you OK"- asked Meredith

"Yeah yeah yeah" she responded as she didn't know what I just asked her

and before I could even blink I saw Jo falling into the floor she had just fainted

"Jo Jo can you hear?" "me can someone page Alex Karev and can someone come to pick her up and bring her to the ER"- I started yelling

no one really cared "come on people she fainted" everyone started to move 

two nurses came in with a gurney and carried Jo they were going to take her down to the ER to get checked. I could see from the OR door that she was starting to regain conscious I know she would be in good hands so I continue with my surgery with Helms help

Alex Karev POV

"pip pip, pip pip, pip pip, pip pip," my pager was going off 

------------"911, ER -ITS JO-"------------

I ran as fast as I could, when I got there I saw Jo fighting a nurse who was trying to put an IV on her 

"OMG jo are you okay???" I said as I approached her bed

"yes I am perfectly fine"- said jo 

" Dr, Karev your wife experience dizzy and fainted in the OR"

"JO"- I yelled in concern "what"- she responded 

I said thank you to the nurse and asked her if she could page Dr. Carina Deluca, who came around 7 minutes later

"Jo are you okay" -she asked

we explained all to her and asked her if she could do a consult on Jo, she agreed we then moved up Jo to an OB exam room where Carina started to prepare everything

She put the gel in Jo's stomach and started to move around when the image appeared on the screen Carina said surprised

"OH"-
