Cuddle (part 3)

HANGE'S POV:

                Another day of exhausting workload. Ever since the Marleyans and us, the eldians, made a deal and peace; the only thing that I do most of the times are the ton of paperwork. We still had to fight some of the rebels that doesn't want to have a peace with us; they still think we're the devils. That's not going to change and we have to accept that.

           Everyone thinks it's peace, but no; It'll never be. Nicolo, a man from Marley, offered to go back to Marley and work as a double agent for us. The only people who knows this are the trusted people in the scout regiment; Levi and his squad and me. Normally, I wouldn't recommend and allow someone to do this because we all know that it is utterly dangerous. One slip us of Nicolo's intentions in that country will result to his death and another war. Though, I as a commander; I am not to be considered as a person who is easily fooled. We may not have the best technology and creations, but we are wise in terms of war since most of our lives are dedicated to it. I can see that Marley's intentions are not pure. I can see the way they explore our land and it seems that they are trying to find something from it. 

           It's not even a while since Nicolo started working inside the government of Marley and we already have it. A report Nicolo came here just this morning. The Marley is planning to steal the secrets of our 3-Dimensional Maneuver Gear and use it against us. They seemed to have found a lot of mineral and treasures in our land too that even us, Eldians, had no idea. If we have a lot of treasures here, of course they'll want it. They want to conquer our land. 

 This war is inevitable...

        ----

           I wish she is still here right by my side. This war is going to be hard, but with her; I feel like I can do it, I can win it. But no, she's not here, and she'll never be again. That's because of my fault. It's all my fault. She's been with me for every ups and downs of my life and the only thing that I did in return was to neglect her. What kind of girlfriend am I even? She died thinking that my job is more important than her. She died not telling me her problems and illness because she thought that my job will be disturbed. She died because she thought I'll get mad at her. 

      What if she didn't died and she's still with me? We could've win this war and spend the rest of our lives together. We could've adopt our kid and we could be a happy family, just like she always wanted. We would go on dates and watch the sun set together. We could train our kid how to fight and use the 3-DMG, our kid will be the youngest to use it. Sadly, we can't do it because of me. She can't do this because of me...

         Only if I can spend some time with her again, I'll tell her everything. Maybe we could spend our time doing what we always wanted...

       "Oyy, Hange" Levi said as I got out of the bathroom after he forced me to clean my body. Its been weeks since I had a long shower anyways. I was, of course, said no to him for at least a hundred time to back off because I am not going to waste my time showering while I clearly have a lot of things to do. Though, Levi forced me into the bathroom and locked me in there. I was about to bust the door open when he said that he's going to finish my paperwork so I can take a shower instead. I must admit, I hate showering, but, if Levi is presenting himself to finish my literal ton of work, then why not?

     "I'm done with my paperwork, so I decided to help you out just this once. Come and help me finish this so we can rest earlier." he said. That's unusual, Levi is not the type of person top help people with something like paperwork. I can't really think of a reply to what he said so I just nodded and started doing half of what's left. "After this, Hange; you are going to sleep, got it?" he said sternly. "But you know that I can't sleep anyways--" ... "No, Buts Hange. You are going to rest. I'm saying this as a friend and a comrade. How are you supposed to lead us if you can't even fight as good as before just because you're tired." With that, I just stayed silent.

"I guess I'll try my hardest to fall asleep later."

         Where am I? What's that shaking on the ground? Grumbling footsteps?" I looked around as this moment really feels nostalgic. To my east south, there came running towards me a bunch of titans. All of them ranging form 10 to 15 meter in height. How? We all killed the titans that are roaming around our Paradis Island. The ponding of the ground seemed to get louder and shakier, this is bad, they're getting to me fast. I was about to take my blades, but then, I realized that I don't have any gear with me. This is it, my end.

         The titans are right in front of me now, surrounding me. Their gigantic arms are now reaching for my torso. I closed my eyes as I ready myself to the probably excruciating pain I'll face in any second now. An ear wrecking sound of dropping bodies can be heard as I open my eyes in confusion and curiosity. The bunch of titan that supposed to eat me and bring me to the other side dropped dead in front of me, they're bodies already evaporating. 

         "Hange!! What's up with you? WAHAHAHAHA What are you doing standing there with an open mouth, we've got mission to finish and titans to kill. If you don't move there Erwin will see you slacking off." she said with a smiling face. Her, my love, my girl, standing right in front of me. How? She died, in my arms. I must be hallucinating.

       I looked around myself and saw Moblit giving his horse an apple; He died saving me. The old Levi squad that died when we we're trying to capture Annie Leonhart in the forest are on stand by. My squad that died sacrificing themselves while being smashed by rocks by Zeke is approaching us on their horses waiting for my orders. They're all here.

       I ran towards Y/n and hugged her immediately. I don't know what's happening but it seems like I am on a dream. And I am here, given a second chance to see her again, hug her again. I can only seize my chance to be with her. "H-hange, everyone is looking, they'll suspect that we're dating and our secret will be done for!" She tried to yell in a whispery tone. "I'm just happy to see that you're well. That's all." I said trying not to show my tears. I missed her.

Maybe in this dream is my second chance...
