It's one thing when you are sleeping in a room next to Clary, who usually talks in her sleep. It's even more annoying when you have a psychotic warlock banging around in the room next to you. Will sighed and stuffed his head into his pillow as Nix let out a strangled scream.
"Do you MIND?! IT'S TWO IN THE MORNING!" Will shouted at the wall. There was a moment of silence before the voice began screaming again. "FINE! I WON'T SLEEP TONIGHT!" he snarled, throwing off the covers and grabbing a robe and slippers.
Will mumbled and grumbled as he stepped out of his room and snuck into the neighboring one. Will's eyes adjusted to the dark and he was able to make out a figure of a man tied up in a corner. "Look, do you mind? I'd really like to sleep, and you're kinda annoying at the moment."
Aldous Nix lifted his head and glared at him. "I'm sorry to disturb your beauty sleep," he growled.
"Thank you, but that's not a promise that you'll be quiet."
"Says the man wearing bunny slippers." They glared at each other for a while. Will's eyes were starting to burn when Nix grinned. "I need to go to the bathroom, and I'm guessing I need an escort. Mind taking me?"
Will scowled as he thought about it. "Fine, but no funny business."
As they shuffled down the hallway, Will's hands firm on the ropes, he let his mind wander. So, if this is the man who brought us back, who is the one who's trying to get rid of us? We've been hunting for the one who brought us here, and now that that is done, thank goodness, I'd like to know who almost killed my Tess.
They stopped by the bathroom and Will started to untie the ropes around Nix's wrists. "Aldous, do you know of anyone who was trying to stop your plans?"
Nix grunted. "Well, who wouldn't want to stop me?"
Will dropped the ropes. His eyes lingered on the floor. "Yes, everyone, I get it, but did anyone specific-"
A sharp pain smacked across his temple. Will fell to the ground and rolled into a crouch. Nix was at the window, standing in the opening.
"You'll find my last masterpiece in the place where your story began," he snarled, and fell back out the window.

"London? Are you sure?" Tessa said, dabbing at the wound on Will's head with a towel.
"Yes! My real story, our story began," he said, flustered. Will had knocked on Tessa and Jem's door, out of breath and in a panic.
"But who could be the last person?" Jem said, pacing at the foot of the bed where Will was lying. He was wearing a tourist Statue of Liberty t-shirt over a pair of flannel pajama pants.
"How do I know?" Will snarled, sitting up with a glare. Tessa gently pushed him back down and grabbed the bandages she kept on tab.
"We should leave as soon as possible. We don't want Nix too much of a head start," Jem suggested. "We can ask Clary to Portal us there."
"But no one else can know." The two boys looked at Tessa as she wrapped the linen around Will's head. "We need them to stay focused, or else we'll never be able to get you guys back to where you belong."
Jem nodded solemnly. "I'll go leave a note on Maryse's desk that Nix is gone, and we've gone to London to find him. Be ready to leave ASAP." He strutted out of the room.
Tessa looked at Will, his eyes darting around the room like a caged animal. She cupped her hands around his face. "Remember, after Nathaniel died, what you said when we were in the infirmary?"
"That I was sorry your brother died?"
"No. That you look like a pirate."
Will chuckled and put his head on her shoulder. Tessa wrapped her arms around him and felt the tears burn her throat. "I'm going to miss you so much."
Will looked up. He had tears in his eyes. He reached over Tessa's arm and grabbed a knife that was on the side table. He reached up to his head and cut off a lock of hair. "You'll always have me with you. This may be a little cheesy, as you say nowadays, but it'll work?"
Tessa nodded and grabbed it from his long, slender fingers. "It'll work."

Clary rubbed the sleep from her eyes, trudging down the hallway to the library, stele in hand, people behind.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" she yawned, opening the door. The trio, fully packed, walked through the door behind her. Will was wearing a light athletic jacket and a pair of jeans. Clary noticed just how similar Will and Jace's body types were. Will just looked about a half inch taller.
"Yes," Tessa said. She was wearing a sweater and leggings, while Brother Zachariah (or Jem? It's too early for this) was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and lugging an industrial size suitcase.
"Well, here goes nothing," Clary said. She stepped up to a blank wall and began to draw. Stepping back a moment later, Tessa and Zachariah stepped through the Portal.
Will, though, hesitated. He turned to Clary. "Would you tell Jonathan, that even though I don't say it, I'm proud of him. Though I am the better Herondale." He quickly stepped into the swirling colors and disappeared. Clary couldn't help but grin.
