You hurried into the corner store taking your shirt off as you rushed to the counter where your best friend Ruby was sitting. The store was practically empty besides for one old woman who was seemingly distracted by the vast array of chip options, and paying you no mind. “I need your shirt,” You blurted to your best friend, who furrowed her brows at you before seeing you in just a bra. She quickly took her hoodie off before taking the shirt off her back, and giving it to you with no questions asked. She knew how important this opportunity was for you, this was your chance to get your foot in the door. You kissed her on the cheek before running out, pulling the shirt over your head as you did so. You were going to be so late.
"Good luck y/n!" You heard her call after you as you hailed a cab.
The movie set was luckily close, enough that you weren't way too late, but being late on your first day was not a good impression in general. You also really needed this job.
“Name?”  The security guard asked as you walked up to the gate.
“Y/N Y/L/N, personal assistant to Harry Holland,” you told him. He nodded, waving you through after handing you an employee pass and you rushed to find where you were supposed to be.
The set was incredibly large, and reminded you a bit of a maze. It was definitely overwhelming. There was no way you were going to be able to get around without a little bit of assistance. You took a deep breath as you looked around all the strangers, who you would hopefully grow to know in the near future.
“Excuse me, Do you know where I can find Harry Holland?” You asked  a woman with a clipboard and an earpiece. She glanced at you, not amused, before radioing for his location. She nodded as someone spoke to her on the other side of the earpiece, before explaining how to get to where you needed to be. With more of a sense of direction than before and a worry at your job security you rushed through the sets and to the room that was labeled assistant director.
“I'm so sorry I'm late, there was an incident with a man and some tea, i had to find a new shirt. I promise I am not usually tardy like this, and then, this set is just so big, and no one gave me a map, so I had to ask for help. Sorry i'm rambling, Im Y/N Y/L/N, your new assistant,” You extended your hand at the man, who was still facing the other way. He seemed to be ignoring you, completely. You felt your heart rate accelerate as you feared you were about to be fired “Erm, excuse me?” You asked, tapping his shoulder.
Harry jumped, turning and seeing you standing in front of him. Taking out the headphones in his ears, he smiled at you, instantly recognising you, despite your subtle change in attire. “Hi,” He said.
“Hi, im y/N Y/L/N, your new assistant, sorry i'm late, i had a-”
“Tea spill?” He finished.
You flashed him a smile, “I didn't think you heard me before,” You chuckled.
“Oh, no," he shook his head, chuckling. "It was me that spilled the tea on you,” he confessed. You felt your eyes widen, not having even looked at the man earlier, you were in such a rush.
“Well, this is a small world,” You laughed, extending your hand. “Nice to meet you sir,” You said.
Harry cringed at that. “Please no," he groaned at the use of the name, "Harry is fine Y/N,” He laughed before taking your extended hand and shaking it gently.

Days seemed to pass quickly in the beginning. Filming was going smoothly, and it helped having such an attentive assistant, who quickly picked up on all of Harry's habits. Every morning you would stroll in with a tea and a muffin, he never asked you, but you just seemed to know that he would need it. When it came time for lunch you always had a box with takeout ready between scenes, and you always seemed to order his favorite no matter where you ordered from.
“You're a saint, Y/N,” Harry expressed, shoving his face with the food that had just been delivered.
“Just doing my job,” You had told him, but truth be told you had grown rather fond of Harry, he was sweet, and never demanding, he treated you like a person, instead of a rat to run his errands. Harry had also grown a liking to you, you seemed to help the days go by and he couldn't help the feelings he felt growing towards you, especially with the times you guys would be alone. You were attractive, he couldn't deny that, but it was something more that pulled him in,  but he did his best to push any and all feelings away. He was nowhere near ready for a relationship, especially with his personal assistant. That would just be a mess.
~12 months.~
Six months of filming day in and day out and the movie wasn't even close to done. Luckily for Harry he had an amazing assistant by his side lessening his workload.
"Hey har? Sam just texted to let me know his flight was delayed so I'm going to get him at two instead of twelve," you told him as you typed away at the iPad you carried around with you everywhere.
"That's ok, love. I can go get him if it's after noon, you should take the rest of the day off, you deserve a long weekend," he said without a glance in your direction. You stood there shocked, unaware if he had even meant to say what he had, but all you could do was nod.
"Th-thanks" you stuttered as you grabbed your few belongings and you left the room, had he just called you love, or had you imagined the whole thing?
As soon as you left the room Harry felt like a div, he had been so good about keeping things professional with you, so scared of opening himself up again just to be let down, and maybe that wouldn't happen, but he didn't want to find out. He knew the pet name was a slip, and he had been so good about just calling you by your name, but for some reason it had just slipped past his lips like a force of habit.
A weekend with Sam was precisely what Harry needed, a weekend to vent and get things off his chest that he couldn't and didn't want to talk to anyone else about.
