As soon as you walked into the apartment you kicked off your shoes going straight for the couch. Even if you thought that you were still able to do the things you had been able to do prior to pregnancy, you were quickly becoming aware that too much would make you feel like you had been hit by a train.
"So that went well," Harry boasted from the kitchen where he was getting you a glass of water.
"Yeah," you called out. "They really seemed to get on, better than I would have thought," you told him as he walked around the corner with the tall glass in his hand, giving it to you.
"That look he was giving her," he chuckled as he sat down beside you. "That was the 'I'm interested' look,"
"You're kidding," you exclaimed, turning slightly to look at him better, "she got all sorts of giddy the second he started talking, and then offering to take him home," you shook your head as you took a drink.
"Well maybe we're good matchmakers," Harry chuckled Taking a sip of his beer.
"Maybe," you agreed, trying to think of how to start the conversation you needed to have.
"Hey I've been meaning to talk to you about something," Harry said suddenly.
"Yeah?" You asked, hoping it was what you were wanting to talk to him about.
"So Tom has this premier in a few days, and he wanted me to go to film the behind the scene footage," he explained. You felt your face fall into a confused look.
"Oh," you said.
"I'll only be gone tomorrow through Saturday, so I'll be home in time for brunch on Sunday," he explained, not noticing how your mood had shifted.
"That sounds like fun," you said, trying to push away the thing you had wanted to talk about, "it'll be good for you to get away for a bit," you told him with a smile.
"Yeah, it'll be a good change from the movie, things have been so hectic on set, half the time I don't even know what we're doing," he sighed.
"Yeah," you sighed, laying your head back. "Me either," you muttered under your breath.
You and Harry sat and talked for a while more before you excused yourself to go to bed.
As soon as you were in bed, freshly showered you pulled out your phone and dialed Ruby.
"Hey, what's up?" She asked.
"We will never talk about it," you groaned, laying back and switching your call to FaceTime. "I swear, everytime I'm going to bring it up, he has a million other things to talk about," you exclaimed.
"So I'm guessing you guys didn't talk?" She asked, with a scrunched face.
"Nope," you said blankly, turning to look at your screen. "I just want to know what this is, you know," you sighed. "Are we buddies who are going to be raising a kid together? Or are we zeroing in on a relationship? Like I don't know," you told her as you stared up at your ceiling. "I really like him, probably too much," You whispered.
"Girl, he is in the same house," She chuckled, "Go tell him!"
You shook your head as you considered it. "I can't," you sighed. "I'm tired, I just want to sleep. I'll call you in the morning," you told her with a sad smile.
"Love you," She said.
"Love you," you repeated before ending the call and curling into a ball, it was probably just the hormones, but god did you feel emotional.
Harry had been gone for only a day and you were feeling absolutely lonely. Paddy had offered to come over and keep you company in Harry's absence, but you had politely declined insisting you were going to take a few days to get the house deep cleaned and a jump on setting up the nursery.
