"Hey, you, wake up." I was awakened with a tap, and Sunwoo's voice. I jolted awake, taking in a deep breath. "Took you long enough, you were in your 7th coma." I batted my eyelashes a few times, widening my eyes at Sunwoo as I attempted to process the situation. "It's dawn?" I asked, he nodded. "We almost overslept too, get up." He walked away, grabbing a red painted metallic bar. "I found this in a box, apparently we are in an old workshop, garage, something of this category." He explained, muttering the last words whilst staring at his nails. I stood up, composing myself. I clutched the red bar, which was somewhat rusty. "We're not leaving out of that door." He said abruptly, I parted my lips in confusion. "Then where else-" I was cut off by a loud breaking sound, shattered glass was spraying all over the room. "The window." He said, looking at me with a faint smile. I batted my eyelashes once again. He climbed out of the window, hopping over it. He extended his hands, helping me over the glass leftovers, I hopped out of the window.

I looked around me, the street appeared to look clean, as if nothing had happened. Which sent chills down my spine, causing me to tremble a bit. I looked at the old route Sunwoo took the last morning. "We should follow the alleyway behind the buildings, it appears to be safer." I said in a whisper, whilst the moon illuminated faint dirty white light on our path. "Stay behind me." Was all he replied with, inclining his back and clutching his pipe as we walked.

"You're whispering after breaking a window." I said abruptly with a small smile, he chuckled himself, too. The alleyway had a weird scent to it, it smelled like dirty soil, if that even made sense. The scent confused my nostrils. "Stay where you are." He suddenly paused, holding the most inaudible whispers. Silver and white painted droids were patrolling an open street ahead of us, my heart sunk. "Where is your friend's house.." He asked while gazing at the droids fiercely. "That block to the left." I replied with a trembling voice. "We'll get there, we just need a blind spot." He whispered, furrowing his eyebrows. "I thought they had detectors?" I asked, confused on the "Blind spot" part. "They do, close range. Which means-" I cut him off with rattling noise of a can, it rolled to the right side of the street. The droids immediately charged towards the noise source, giving us a chance of getting to the building near the one we aimed for. At that moment, we dashed there in full speed.

I closed the door gently, ensuring that it was locked. "Are you always this talkative, Sunwoo?" I mocked him, using his own words against him with a malicious smile. He rolled his orbs, grimacing at me. "You're so annoying, you make me want to bash your head." He pretended to almost hit me with the pipe, to which I flinched to, attempting to contain my giggle. He, as well held back a titter. "Let's go, it's near." He motioned me to follow him right after.

As we entered the building from the side, it was pin drop silent. The silence was bothersome to me, I led the way to the second story, Sunwoo guarded my back. We went up the stairs on our tip toes, my heart raced and cold sweat began forming on my forehead from anxiety.

"Sunwoo, it's locked." I called, jingling the doorknob for the second time. Sunwoo closed his eyes to maintain his sanity, he knew the slightest noise will attract the droids outside. He carefully positioned his shoulder against the door, pushing with all of his might continuously. I, as well followed the action, until the door was busted open with a slight click.

The apartment was in ruins, the couch was flipped, the television was broken, the floor seemed to have black scratches. The curtains were ripped into threads, I widened my eyes, my mouth fell apart. Due to the shock and fright, I dropped the bar, causing a loud echo. "Y/n!" Sunwoo warned, he sensed an eerie atmosphere. I scanned the place, my hands slightly up as I looked in rooms. Pessimism began taking over me. "Y/n, I don't think she's here. Let's leave, this place doesn't feel good." He explained, holding his pipe tightly whilst being wary. "No, no! Let's stay for a little longer." I said slightly louder, Sunwoo headed over to me. "Your voice! You'll get the both of us killed, let's go." He warned, placing his hand on my shoulder. I slapped it off. "I said no! Give me time to at least look for my friend." I began yelling, gesticulating with my hands. His cheek revealed the silhouette of a tongue. "You'll die if you stay m-" Sunwoo was cut off by a droid pushing him downwards, a metallic grip pinning him down by his throat. I screamed for a mere second, hurrying to grab the pipe that dropped out of his hand. I swung at the droid's head, its head turned 180 degrees towards me, frightening the living daylights out of me. Sunwoo extended his hand to the bar that I had dropped, Sunwoo struggled, attempting to inhale for air as I attempted to hit it harder. I was near fainting when the bar that I had dropped pierced through the glass eyes of the droid, possibly damaging its brain. The droid began twitching as I stumbled back, burnt yellow sparkles began seeping through the part where it got damaged. I covered my mouth at the sight, Sunwoo took the chance to kick it off him before he got electrocuted. He began hysterically coughing whilst I sobbed, the droid had shut down.

When Sunwoo had composed himself, he headed towards me with an infuriated expression, until he saw me containing my wails. I was wrapped with his arms, he began caressing my back, hushing me. "I'm not crying over the droid dying, it's the fact that my friend's body could be lying around somewhere. I don't want to see." I explained when my wails had somewhat faded away. "I told you, we should leave now." He loosened his arms around me, speaking in a gentle tone. I agreed silently, grabbing my bar.
