I connected the earphones, receiving a notification on the MP3 that the earphones are plugged in. I clicked rapidly downwards, before randomly clicking on a music file. It displayed three waves of sound; wind, water, and birds. The birds' choir chirping was the dominant sound. I clicked on another file, which transferred me into random guitar notes. I unconsciously furrowed my eyebrows, the files had peculiar sounds recorded.
Sunwoo, whom appeared to be awake, took an earbud, stuffing it in his ear. He heard the same noise I was hearing. "Chair screeching." Sunwoo stated the obvious sound, I had a grin painted on my lips, purposely turning up the volume to damage Sunwoo's audibility. He snatched the earbud away from his ear, before grimacing at me. "So funny." He sarcastically stated sternly, which induced for me to let out a titter. "Insert the memory card and go to sleep, don't forget to get it from Eric early this morning." He spoke whilst his back began facing me, tugging on the blanket and pulling it higher over his body. "You're always so grumpy." I complained, a sigh slipping off my lips. "I have a headache." He responded with fatigue. "Well, Sunwoo, who doesn't?" I replied, getting repaid with silence.
I gently tapped the oaken door with my knuckles. "Room 24.." I reminisced in my head, awaiting a response. At last, the door revealed Eric, whom was cheerful to be met with me. "Y/n, hello." He greeted, I caught a glimpse of a few guys chattering amongst themselves in the background. "Hi, Eric." I slightly waved, the MP3 being clutched in my hand. "Ahhh, the MP3, you transferred the files?" He asked, I gave him a nod. "You have to give it back by 7, though. We need the memory card for something." Eric moved his head in agreement. "Yes, alright. Head inside, Sangyeon and Juyeon are inside." Eric suggested, "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm exhausted and I have errands to run tomorrow." I politely refused with a mild smile, Eric seemed to be somewhat disappointed. "That's too bad, I was glad to have seen you though. Goodnight." He said quietly with a grin on his lips, nodding our goodbyes.
I entered the dark room, the light from the hallway seeping through for a few seconds before I closed it back with a clicking sound. In the dim light, Sunwoo appeared to be asleep.
Just as I was about to lay down, Sunwoo prepositioned his body towards me, peering at me rather blankly. I cocked an eyebrow, sinking my weight into the mattress. "What's up with you?" I asked with suspicion. "I can't sleep." He answered, his voice laced with cracks from the lack of communication. "Is there something bothering you?" I asked, composing my posture on the bed, he had only shifted his gaze. "I did mention it to AX when you were with Eric and Sangyeon." Sunwoo replied, referring to his plan tomorrow. "What did she say?" I asked with curiosity. "If you are ready, you can speak of it." He swiped his tongue against his lower lip. "I don't know about you but, she speaks so.. monotonously?" Sunwoo continued, attempting to pick up the right adjective for the leader. "Right, if she was to be one of them, she'd blend in." I supported his statement.
I laid my head on Sunwoo's arm, he rolled it to lessen the space amongst us. "You know what you'll say tomorrow, right?" I asked, he turned his head, grimacing at me. "Do I look like I'm teething? I can speak for myself, Y/n." He took offense, to which I laughed at.
The projector screen illuminated a cerulean gleam, the room began to get dimly lit. Sunwoo inclined forwards, leaning both of his hands on the desk alee of him. "As some of you may have heard," Sunwoo began his speech. "Y/n and I had stumbled across an old model coming from the great laboratory, making a non-infected memory card come in our possession." He spoke whilst opening the files, a few whispers could be heard sharing across the hall. With the flick of a switch, a graphic representation of the map was displayed for everyone to gaze at. "Here is what I suggest," Sunwoo assigned points for his speech. "We have two ways to get in, the fire exit, and the side entrance, which was used for 'Human Workers' before." He gesticulated an emphasis on "human workers" using four of his fingers. "This plug." Sunwoo raised a broken parasite, which was highly infectious when complete in shape. Instantaneously, the people gathered in the hall began displaying signs of panic, the hall was rummaging with loud chatter. "Is safe for use." He said that as he connected it to his nape, finishing his sentence. "Your boyfriend had gone mad." Eric whispered, slightly leaning. I grinned, peering at Sunwoo. "Firstly, this camouflages you completely. However, one suspicious act might cause the droids to define you." He warned, stuffing the plug back in his pocket. "I plan to use this for future raid, two groups. One to the vents and one to the side entrance, staff only." He explained further. "Now I have knowledge about the droid in charge, my family had dealt with it a long time ago. The moment we get in, I know what codes to use to get it to completely stop working, in fact, if you're all with me. I'll upload all of them into a flash." He indicated at an empty flash, the hall began growing chatter once again. "How do you plan to deal with the droids there?" The leader directed a question at the confident male. "The guards are glass visioned, you can break into the electronic brain with one hit, they are also visually impaired to several spots. To put it simply, blind spots. As for the big ones, I've dealt with a few of them. You can find a transparent plastic opening, unplug the wires and they're as helpless as a fly." Sunwoo explained his technique, earning a nod from the leader, I began catching several positive phrases as the people chatted. "He has suicidal tendencies." Sangyeon stated, not averting his gaze from Sunwoo. "Shut up." Juyeon replied, observed in the graphic map of the laboratory. "The droid is located here." Sunwoo zoomed in at the center of the factory, going downwards leading to an underground system. "This room right here." He pointed. "A few of you will go through the vents and the others will use their camouflage if brave enough." He raised an eyebrow whilst talking, highlighting the vents. "If you're inexperienced then the vents are for you." He pressed his lips against eachother. "I'll discuss this plan further with approval from your leader." As positive affirmations arose, AX grinned monotonously, nodding. "I approve, four days from now."
