Shani's prov

"I'm serious, you should have let me carry you sooner." Minato scolded and i panted in his arms as a fever started to form.

"You *Pant* don't understand." I said as we started to arrive at the gates. "There's no way i could understand because you wont tell me." Minato sighed and i closed my eyes.

"Your breath is so hot that i can see it..." Minato stated worriedly. "I'll *Pant* be fine *Pant*." I replied only causing him more worry. "Hello, your reasons for being here?" The two guards asked and i squinted at them.

"My friend here needs a doctor, she got injured badly by some bandits and we would like a quick chat with the hokage about wether we can stay for a while." Minato explained smoothly and i curled up to his chest (He was carrying me bridal style.).

"I'm cold." I whispered and he felt my forehead from beneath the hood. "Show your faces." Said the 2 guardsmen and suddenly someone said "There's no need for that."

I looked over into his direction and saw an old man. An image of an old man popped in my head and i clutched my head in pain. I groaned in pain and Minato tightened his grip on me.

"Come." Said the Hokage. Yes, thats who it is, the third hokage. Minato followed him to a building and into an office. "Leave." The hokage ordered the rest of the people and they left reluctantly. "Now, your chakra's are strong and give me nostalgia, who are you?" HE asked and Minato set me on my feet gently.

"Someone who has a huge headache." I answered quite rudely to my surprise. I lifted the hood of my cloak and fell into Minato. The old man gasped and looked at me in shock, "From that... *pant* I'm guessing you knew me." I said and Minato held me up tightly.

Minato lifted his own hood and looked at me worriedly. "Minato, Shani...." He gasped and I said "We lost our memories, I dont know how. But from what i've seen, I know that Minato had a wife that i loved dearly... and yet, I let her die."

I panted some more and Minato looked at me shocked. "You did not do that my child, I saw the whole fight. You took many hits for her." He said and i frowned. "I only remembered the part where she died because i hadn't stopped the blade." I replied.

"Yes, but you do know how that happened." He said. "What happened?" Minato asked and i stood up and slugged over to the hokage's desk. "All you need to know is that i couldn't protect someone you loved." I snapped.

Minato's prov

She turned her head to look at me and her eyes where bleary from her fever. "I'll call a medic." He said and she sat down on the floor with a thud. "What truly happened?" I whispered as she panted and a nurse rushed into the room.

"I-is that the F-fourth Hokage?" The nurse stuttered as she closed the door.

"Just heal the woman." The Man ordered her and she rushed over to Shani. Her hands glowed and Shani's breathing started to even out.

"She should rest, that is all." The nurse said nervously. Shani reached up and tapped her forehead, using that jutsu.

The nurse collapsed on the ground and Shani said "I'm not sure it would be a good idea to let the village know that their 4th hokage is alive but doesn't remember any of it." "I guess you would be correct." The old man answered.

"They would be thrown into excitement then would go crazy trying to get the memories back." He thought out loud.

"So i was the 4th hokage?" I asked and the man puffed his pipe and nodded. "And Shani was your personal guard." He added.

"My guard?" I asked looking over to her. "I'm starting to remember things Minato, and it hurts." She panted out and i swerved into worry.

"I want us to stay under cover while we live here." I said and Shani looked over to me. "Yes." She whispered out and a pang was felt in my heart.

"We met our student Kakashi, with his team of genin. They where on an A-ranked mission, i didn't know this generation was that strong." Shani said and the hokage's eyes widened.

"We erased their memories of us though." Shani added.

I walked over to her and crouched down to her sitting hight. I picked her up bridal style and the hokage smiled warmly to us. "I always knew that poor Shani had loved you." He said and i knew what he was talking about beccause earlier shani mentioned me having a wife.

"Please show me what happened on that fight after i get her too rest up. We'll be transformed kids. Please consider us another team of genin, just smaller." I said and he nodded.

I did the hand signs and transformed into younger version of myself with a few tweaks. Instead of blond hair i had black. Shani did the same hand signs and she turned into a younger version of herself with a mask and white hair, like Kakashi's. Her eyes where a violet.

She closed her eyes and began to fall asleep, while maintaining the transformation. "Here's a key to a room that i had kept for emergencies." The hokage said and tossed the key so it would land gently on Shani's stomach.

I nodded and walked out.
