A Normal Day

There was a girl named Lily. She was a young girl with a pretty difficult life. She has moved a lot. She had to leave many things behind already, and she's only in middle school. Lily is always good with making new friends. Sometimes she becomes really close with a few people, but when she does, she knows she'll have to leave them at some point.

You see, Lily's life isn't the easiest. A lot of people might think she's a very happy girl, but the ones who know her best, know she's dealing with a lot. Right now, Lily lives in California. She's been here for about 2 years now and had made some very close friends. Sometimes you won't even notice that her and her friends haven't been friends for so long. It seems like they've known each other their whole life.

Lily goes to Richard N. Middle School. A public school in Northern California. It was an ordinary day for Lily. She woke up, got out of bed, and got ready for school. She went downstairs to eat some breakfast and then she went to the bus stop. She waited about 5 minutes for the bus to come. When the bus finally came, she got on and went to sit with one of her closest friends named Josie.
When they get to school, Lily runs up to her boyfriend and hugs him right away. He asks her how her morning went. Lily said, "So far it's been good. At least it's good right now, because I'm talking to you." Her boyfriend Jason smiles.

        He says, "You're so cute."

Lily smiles. Then, he says, "Your smile is all I need to see to have a good day."

Lily says, "Aww, thanks babe. I love you"

"I love you too." Jason said.

The bell rung and they all scattered to class. Lily's first period was Spanish. Jason's was math. Their classes were right across from each other and they both sat close to the door so they always talked if their teachers weren't paying attention to them.

When the bell rang again, Jason, Josie, and Lily all met in the hallways in front of the gym. They talked there for a little while and then had to rush to class again. They did this after every class. After school, they always met at the flag pole in front of the school. Jason walked home and Lily and Josie rode the school bus back home. Josie and Lily were neighbors. That's why they were such good friends. Both of Lily's parents worked.

When Lily got home, she did her homework, hung out with Josie at the park, went back home and got ready for bed. Her parents weren't home yet. She was used to it, they were usually never home. She got into bed and slowly started to fall asleep.

Right when Lily was about to fall asleep, she heard the door open, it was her parents. She heard them fighting. She called Josie right away, but she didn't pick up. It was pretty late. Then, Lily called Jason. He picked up and asked, "Hey, what's up?" Lily was crying and said, "I don't know what to do. My parents just got home and they're fighting and----" Lily had to quickly end the call when she heard someone walking up the stairs.
