Jude's pov:
I was walking home when i saw Cole sitting on the curb outside my house like Adeline that night. " hey you okay?" i ask giving a hand as he gets up.
"I'm fine just had an argument with Riley".
"why what happened?".
"She just isn't the same anymore and i miss the old her shes so uptight now".
"okay well as her boyfriend you should still be there for her".
" i am of course i am it's just i wanna be with someone i can have fun with".
"well give her time she's probably just stressed".
It was another grey,cold,dusty monday morning in maths and i couldn't focus at all. It was my mothers death anniversary. 2 years since it happened. I've had enough of this i'm leaving. as i grabbed my stuff and walked out i heard Mr Wilson say something. "Mr Madden sit back down". I just ignored him.
Adeline's pov:
God he looked so out of it today what was going on i had to find out. "sir can i go toilet" i ask mr wilson.
"why didn't you go at lunch???".
"i didn't have to go then".
"well you can't sorry".
"sir it's lady problems and i highly recommend you let me go before something unfortunate happens". he looks shocked and just points.
"thank you sir" smile. i look around the hallway to try and find jude and i see him under the stairs just with a blank expression.
" hey whats wrong why'd you just storm out like that?".
"It's been 2 years since she died Adeline." .
"who Jude who".
"my mum she died 2 years ago from a car crash after a drunk driver hit her". my face drops thats why there was only him and Grace that night and he helped me with my problems when he was coping with his own.
"I'm so sorry Jude i know how it feels and it sucks".
"i'm sorry for just laying this out on you".
"it's fine don't worry about it i'm here for you".
