Riley's pov: (SURPRISEEE)
it was fourth period and i was in the middle row of english lit when cole walked in he looked drained and really tired. He takes the seat behind me. "hey are you okay you look really worn out" i question.
"yeah i'm fine just family issues i guess". Cole's parents had almost never gotten along they were always arguing all the time and were filing for a divorce soon.
i see cole walking so i decide to catch up. "hey are you sure you-" he was crying.
"Cole come here". i pull him in for a hug.I then see adeline and jude.
Adeline's pov:
"yeah but if you think about it the nightmare before christmas is also a halloween film".
"nope mostly a christmas film 100%". me and Jude had been arguing whether the nightmare before christmas was a halloween film or a christmas film.
i then see Cole and Riley hugging and cole was crying.
"Jude Cole's crying we should go see what's wrong".
"i think i know why". i walk over to cole and ask what's wrong.
"hey Cole what's wrong".
"my parents they're getting a divorce this week and they want me to decide who gets custody". oh my god.
"Cole it's completely okay don't worry about it just pick whoever you want to stay with".
"that's the thing i wanna live with my dad but i'm going to have to move schools". my face dropped.
"oh cole". i gave him a hug teary eyed. i then feel Jude hug him and Riley.
"this must look so strange" cole says .
"damn Cole way to ruin a moment" jude replies. we all laugh.
"mum im home!" i shout. no answer. of course she's not here. i rarely ever see much of my mum anymore she's always either at work or in her room. she really misses him. i missed him. i then hear a knock on the door. it was Jude.
