Riley's pov:
i was in such shock. i walked into adeline's house because it was open and i needed food but oh well that's not the point.her.mother.could.be.a.murderer.
"damn never thought Jackie could be capable of killing someone" i say out of the blue.
"Riley? what are you doing here" adeline asks.
"i ran out of food" i shrug my shoulders.
"so what are we gonna do about Jackie" i walk in.
"report her to the police obviously" jude chirps up.
"you can't you need more proof and plus they can't put you in prison if you don't have enough proof and prison sucks" i retort back.
"you've been to prison?" adeline asks curiously.
"yeah like several times in monopoly". Adeline face palms herself.
Noah's pov:
Jude and Riley went home so i was with adeline.
"so how's Riley,she looks good" i say as adeline does her homework.
"dude gross she's doing great she's with that Cole Lennon you know my best friend".
"oh him i never liked him like ever".
"just because you had a moment with Riley when you were 10 doesn't make her your property".
"haha anyways,what are we gonna do about mum?" i ask.
"i don't know Noah i actually don't" Adeline responds sadly.
Adeline's pov:
i couldn't believe it. my own mother. killed my father.my best friend. as noah goes onto his phone i start sobbing. Unfortunately he notices and comes over and hugs me. "shhhshh it'll be okay adel we'll all be okay".
hugging my brother felt nice.i haven't hugged him since he left when i was 10."hey adeline i have to go somewhere right now i'll be back okay".
"okay" i murmur.
that's when my mum walked him as he left. "hey adeline".
"hey mum" i respond shakily
"Adeline is something wrong?" she asks concerned.
"mother i know what you did". she goes pale.
"oh i know that you know that stupid boy of yours is such a snitch, he's no fun".
"killing your husband isn't fun."
"awhh of course it is but you know what's more fun,killing your daughter". oh.my.god.
"w-what". i answer shakily. she pulled out a gun and i started to run. Then i feel something enter my back. a bullet. she shot me. she runs as the door opens. it was jude. oh my god jude he's going to see me die.
i hear him run over. "adeline,adeline no don't die on me please". then everything went black
Jude's pov:
i sat in hospital all day but she was already gone.my adeline was gone. i was gonna finally ask her out but i was too late. Cole and Riley sat next to me crying and clinging onto eachother. I walked away i couldn't bear to look any couples.
I saw Noah. "hey noah i'm sorry for your loss".
"it's not just my loss jude, it's yours too, adeline loved you i could see it in her eyes".
"if i had never left the goddamn house she would still be alive".
"hey don't blame yourself for your mothers actions".
"it's my mums fault not yours".

authors note:
a sad chapter a very very sad chapter. Adeline is going to be missed so so much. I know I don't mention how she dies but i will now she got shot in the back and died from a blood loss as her mother shot her several times, i didn't mention a lot of gory details because it would be very gruesome.
