Chapter 8

A standoff between Mine, Sheele, and Seryu brewed. Neither one of them wanted to make the first move.

The small dog-like creature beside Seryu grew bigger and had a mouthful of teeth ready to devour anything or anyone.

Mine gritted her teeth as she pointed her gun towards Seryu and started to rain hell. Before the bullets could reach her, Koro jumped in front of her and took the bullets. The smoke cleared and everyone saw massive bullet holes in the creature's back. They slowly healed up completely. It was like nothing ever pierced its skin.

Seryu: Koro! Your first meal. Go and feed.

He let out a growl before charging at Mine, but Sheele stood in front. She unsheathed her Imperial arms and sliced parts of Koro's mouth apart as he tumbles onto the cement.

Sheele threw the blood off her weapon and started walking forward to Seryu. A shadow went over her as she turned around and Saw Koro standing up with his mouth regenerating.

Sheele: (Unreal.)

Mine: (So it's an organism-based Imperial arm. In that case...)

Mine switched her barrel and fired a beam of energy to get Koro away from Sheele.

Mine: I know of these. They're an organism-based Imperial arm. They can only be destroyed by destroying their cores. Akame's poison can't kill this thing, as it has no heart.

Seryu: Koro, arms.

Koro's tiny little arms formed into huge bulky arms. It became 10x more dangerous now.

Mine: Gross.

Seryu: Now pulverize!

Koro spun like a torpedo and unleashed a fury of punches towards Sheele. She managed to block them all with her giant pair of scissors before getting some assistance from Mine.

When they found an opening, they would both strike Koro, but it was no use. They couldn't reach the core and he kept regenerating every time.

Sheele ignored Koro and focused on fighting Seryu. Mine was left to deal with Koro. Mine made Koro was staying in the main park, while Seryu and Sheele battled all over the place. Sheele tried to use one of her techniques which made a blinding light, but it was of no use. Seryu blocked her attacks and their battle took to the forest around them.

As Seryu was being pushed back, she activated her trump card and Koro's body was transforming again. His white skin turned dark gray as he became more bulky and massive.

Sheele continued to fight Seryu and managed to have Seryu trip over a rock which made her lose one of her wrist pistols. Sheele readied an attack and Seryu covered herself with her arms.

Sheele struck down as Seryu screamed in pain. Both of her arms were hacked off and she was getting ready to finish her.

She couldn't when a loud sonic wave from Koro. She was almost immobilized and couldn't move. A gun popped out of Seryu's arm and she took a shot. Sheele reacted fast enough to block the bullet with her blade and she recovered from the sonic wave.

Seryu was in shock. No one could withstand a sonic wave of that magnitude. Sheele spun her weapon around before cutting more of Seryu's arms off and leaving her defenseless.

She heard a scream and turned back to see Koro holding Mine in one of his arms. He started to squeeze as Sheele looked back and forth between the two. In the end, she chose to spare Seryu's life and cut off Koro's arm with Mine still in the fist.

Sheele: Whew. That was close.

*BANG*
