This weekend is Slytherin vs Ravenclaw. This is one of the games that actually lasts a while. Slytherin and Gryffindors might have the worst rivalry, and it may be the most brutal fight, but with Ravenclaw it's a different story. It's smart and cunning against smart and creative people. We will do anything to win while they have weird strategies that most can't predict. It's also some of the worst weather, with it being early February.
Cassie was in her dorm with Izzy, looking over her essay that was due Monday. Iz was trying to find a good outfit for the cold since they were probably going to be outside for a few hours in the snow.
"Hey, are you ready to go yet?" She asks, coming out of the bathroom. The other girl gives her a look as she folds her essay and puts it in her Transfiguration book. "What?"
"I've been ready for about 20 minutes," Cassie answered, she was always more of a morning person that Izzy so she had gotten ready first. The other three girls were also still in the bathroom getting ready for the game. She gets off her bed and put her shoes on before following Izzy out the door and to the stairs.
The boys were all in their uniforms and sitting, looking very depressed in one area of the common room. "Hey!" Izzy says cheerily.
The boys don't answer back or even acknowledge that the two showed up. "Is everything okay?" The grey-eyed girl asked her brother, sitting next to him.
"It's not you," Theo answered for him. Ash stood up and walked around the table.
"They think something's going to happen during the match," he explained, sighing and giving the guys a look. He knew better than to try and cheer them up, nothing was going to unless they won.
Then, Den sat up straighter and looked at Cassie, "We wanted to ask if you and Ash would be reserves for the team in case anything goes wrong." .
Cassie laughed, "I would love to, but what about Warrington?" They couldn't techinically do this without the Captain's permission, he had final say in all the matters.
"SCREW WARRINGTON!" Theo yells, scaring everyone as he jumps up from the couch and starts pacing around. He lets out a breath. "Fuck him, this is about us. We don't want to be humiliated again. This is the last year Flint gets to play and he's really upset about it. We already lost to Hufflepuff, we can save ourselves if we do good against Ravenclaw today."
Ash shakes his head. "I'm not good, you guys. You were there when our cousin Ethan tried out. He was terrible as was Cora," he refutes, his face turning red from second-hand embarrassment.
"Yes, but you're not Ethan, definitely not Cora," Reggie says getting up from the couch. "We've seen you play, you're really good." The younger boy gave him a small, encouraging smile and Ash groaned.
"I don't even have a uniform!" He throws his hands up.
"We have one for you," Den says, gaining the boy's attention. "We were hoping you would get on the team next year, so we had one made." He then looks over to their ex-teammate, "We still have yours hanging in the locker room. We wouldn't let them take it down."
Cassie looked over to Ash, if he agreed, then so would she. The purebloods looked at each other for a few seconds before the younger one gave in.
"Okay, let's do it!" He shrugs, laughing. The boys cheer.
"Come on, we have to get you two dressed," Theo yells excitedly as they all high-five each other.
"Hell yeah, we're gonna win!" Aries cheers as him and Densel fist bump.
