SIVAANGI POV:

Ashwin laughed his heart out looking at me. This is more embarrassing than what I expected it would be.

"Na apovum yosichen, cumin powder Laddoos ku use panna maatanga nu! But I trusted-" I stumbled on my own words seeing him looking at me with so much fondness.

"What's this look?" I asked Ashwin. He surely isn't looking at me mischievously. There is something more in his eyes that made me feel like I'm the most precious person in the world.

Perhaps, I'm thinking too much. I chided my mind for even thinking about us in an unusual way.

"You! You are so naive Sivaangi. I should protect you from the evil world at any cost!" Ashwin said sincerely, his hands reaching out to hold mine.

"Ashwineyyyy!" I called his name which brought him back from his imaginary world.

"I mean, err- you should protect your innocence and inner child from the evil world!" Ashwin said after clearing his throat. "Na chumma prank pannen!" He added.

"Oh okay!" I said though I clearly heard what he said before.

"I'm so certain, your Laddoos tasted very bad, that's why you threw them into sink right?" Ashwin smirked changing the topic.

"It would have tasted amazing had you given me the correct ingredients details and instructions." I said.

"Aama aama! Amazing dhan!" He teased. Now, I so badly want to prove him my culinary skills. I know I'm not the best, but I don't want to look like a fool infront of his eyes.

"You don't look like a fool!" He said gently stroking my hair.

"Huh?" I'm definitely doomed. This guy even started hearing my mindvoice.

"Don't worry. One can always improve their cooking and I will teach you." He said his hands still holding mine.

"No thanks! I will learn from Shakeela amma!" I countered back.

I don't want him to fool me anymore. Though most of the time we were arguing like little children, it was comforting in a way. I don't want to pretend infront of him.

At that moment, our downstairs neighbour Rakshan anna came up to us and looked surprised.

"Thangam! Adhukulla rendu perum friends aayiteengala?" Rakshan anna asked us, while Ashwin immediately left my hands and rubbed his neck.

"Friend a? Ivar koodaiya?" I asked immediately.

Rakshan anna came up to him and hugged him before punching his abdomen.

"Ivara ungaluku theriyum a anna?" I haven't seem them talking casually before.

"En best friend thangam. Ellam onna dhan vazhandhom, padichom ipo audition ku road road a onna azhaiyirom!" He smiled.

"Nalla paiyan. Aana romba lam pesa maatan!" He added and I tried not to snort.

Aama aama, pesave maataru! Epo paaru enta vambu pannitu irukuradhu anna ta pottu tharanum.

"Ponnunga na sir ku romba allergy. Shy type dhan ipo varaikum!" He added, while my mindvoice is working overtime.

Paathom! Paathom! Romba shy type dhan.

"Romba humble um kooda!" He continued.
