Gabriel POV
"What was that about? I thought you said the chips were fail proof." I said to Tiana, who was pacing up and down her office.
"I thought so too. It seems that their willpower is stronger than we anticipated. Strong enough to even break out of the mind control." She replied.
"Then make the chips stronger. That way, they'll never be able to break out of our control." Lila said.
"True. But it would risk killing them." Spade King added.
"He's right. We'll continue testing them. As for the miraculous, you know what to do with them." Tiana said.
We nodded and left the office.
Alya POV
My head couldn't stop throbbing. Ever since my encounter with Carapace, I couldn't stop thinking about him. For a brief second, I felt as if I had control of my body.
No. He is my enemy. I am loyal to Hawkmoth and The House of Owls. I can't let some hero sway my loyalty.
"Alya? Are you alright?" Marinette asked me.
"Yeah, Mari. I'm fine. We need to go and see Master Hawkmoth." I said hastily.
