Alya POV
As Nino and Adrien fought each other, I dodged Marinette's blows, trying to reason with her.
"Marinette, please. I'm your bestie. Alya." I pleaded as I blocked another blow with my staff.
"SHUT UP!" She shouted as she slash her sword at my leg. I jumped kicked her in the stomach. She rolled backwards and darted forward. We exchanged blows. I swung my staff at her head. She ducked and swept me off my feet. I fell on my back and my staff clattered away from me. Marinette wrapped her hands around my neck and started strangling me. I tried to break free but couldn't muster the strength to free myself.
"Mari. Please. I promised your parents that I'd bring you back. Paris needs their Everyday Ladybug. Your parents wants their daughter back. And I want my best friend back." I chocked.
I felt the the grip on my neck loosen as Marinette crawled away from me and tried to remove the chip from her neck.
"No! I'm in control! This is my body!" She shouted.
"M-Mari?" I whimpered.
Marinette POV
I struggled to fight back as my dark self strangled me. I headbutted her and kicked her away from me. We exchanged blows until I punched her hard in the throat, she coughed and spluttered.
"I'm not Dark Bug. I'm not Lady Misfortune. And I'm not Blitz. I am Marinette Dupain-Cheng. The guardian of the Miraculous. I AM LADYBUG!" I shouted as I fired a beam of light from my hands, disintegrating my dark half. Dar Bug screamed as she disappeared.
"Marinette? Mari?" Alya's voice rang as I regained consciousness.
"A-Alya?" I asked. My best friend hugged me tightly.
"I thought you was dead!" She sobbed.
I returned the hug and smiled. Adrien, Juleka,Rose, Zoe, Luka and Nino joined.
Suddenly, we heard an explosion behind us. We saw Rodrigo clutching his injured arm and slumped against the wall.
"Rodrigo! Are you alright!?" I shouted as I tried to stop the bleeding. He pulled out a lighter from his pocket.
"Anyone got a metal rod?" He asked. Adrien gave his baton to Rodrigo. He placed the flame on the baton and pressed it against his wounded arm stopping the bleeding.
"Gracias." He panted as he handed back the baton to Adrien.
"What happened, dude? Where are Shaun and Myra?" Nino asked.
"Hawkmoth double teamed us. I don't know what happened to Shaun and Myra." He replied.
A portal appeared behind us and out came Alex and Tina. Alex had a bandage on his abdomen and his arm. Tina had a near empty quiver and a bandage on her forehead.
"Looks like you guys are ok." Alex said with a smirk.
"Where's Spade King?" I asked.
"The police picked him up and locked him behind a cell. They're gonna make sure he stays there." Tina said.
"That's a relief." Juleka said.
Suddenly, two body landed onto the ground.
"Shaun! Myra!" Rodrigo shouted as he tended to Shaun. He coughed and got up.
"I'm fine. But Myra is-." He chocked as he pointed at his lover. Alex checked her pulse.
"She's alive, thank God, but she needs medical attention." He said.
We sighed in relief. A laugh came from above us. Tiana fired an energy wave at us.
"SHELTER!" Nino shouted as he summoned a green forcefield around us.
"My power! MY POWER!" Tiana shouted.
"Here we go again." Adrien sighed.
"I got an idea! Can you guys distract her?" I asked.
We nodded.
"Alex, I need to borrow The Horse Miraculous and you Kali Sticks." I added. Alex nodded and gave me the glasses and his Kali Sticks. I unified Tikki and Kaalki and turned into Pegabug.
"Wish me luck." I said and teleported to a safe distace.
