~Three Months Later~
Seattle, Washington

With sounds of laughter and excitement filling the room with joy and positivity amidst the desolate and dark aura Seattle novelized, the blonde beauty's disparity was on display and anyone could read her like a book. Clearly and distinctively overwhelmed and tossed into the mix of it all by the bombardment of flower arrangements, venue costs, ring fixtures, and coordination of ceremony events in the small building the wedding planner called home, Ayla sat next to Nathan in complete and utter silence. Despite his enthusiasm radiating through the room, her mind was elsewhere questioning if the past couple of months were sufficient enough to justify the engagement let alone a marriage and if her heart truly was ready to explore those implications with him. It was a heavy thought to carry around and for the last three months it was the only thing surfacing her mind as she worked extensively to push her statistics in the right direction in hopes of obtaining the position she set out for herself the moment she agreed to pack her bags and move to Seattle. But even with the thought of ending it all reigning over her demeanor, there was still one subtle and pervasive thought that kept her eager and intrigued and that was simply if Jack had felt the same way she felt when she called him at the airport just before taking off. If Jack had seemingly been of the slight gut wrenched over the disparities of what they truly wanted with another for one another and where they ended up. That thought alone was enough to push Ayla to turn her life upside yet again and if she had even the slightest indication that he had felt it too, it was game over..but with no communication on the table rendering true and the hope of it all placed in the hands of her current state of affairs she knew where she was to stand and did it well.

"So! For the wedding cake! What are we thinking?..do we want a raspberry filling with a buttercream icing and a vanilla cake or are we going the chocolate route?" the event planner exclaims as Nathan chuckles, grabbing Ayla's hand subtly.

"'Mmm..I don't know, to me any flavors work as long as it's edible.. what do you think babe? you got any suggestions?" Nathan smiles, turning towards her as she clears her throat.

"Um..I don't really have any suggestions about the cake. Kinda with him on this one just uh..whatever is edible" she slightly smiles as he nods slowly.

"Oh..ok yeah that's totally fine we can just go with a simple vanilla with buttercream and probably lavender since the flowers arrangements will be heavily purple sage and that could resemble lavender" the event planner giggles, writing every detail down as Nathan sighs.

"That would be perfect, love the idea of adding lavender in especially considering that it resembles the purple sage and that's our favorite flower" Nathan exclaims as Ayla shakes her head.

"You're favorite flower is the purple sage..mine is sunflowers" Ayla mumbles, while removing her hand from his.

"Oh that's right yeah! Well I mean the purple sage and lavender will do it's the right season for the sage anyways compared to the sunflowers" Nathan expresses with a smile as Ayla turns towards him confused.

"What do you mean it would be the perfect season? Sunflowers grow during spring and bloom in the summer, it's the perfect timing to have those!" ayla questions as Nathan sighs.

"Oh do you two want a spring wedding? I thought we were pushing for November" the event planner expresses as Ayla sternly stares at Nathan.

"I thought we were having a spring wedding?" Ayla questions as Nathan shakes his head.

"Yeah about that babe, spring is just so far away and such a hectic season in term of work to actually have a wedding. It's the peak of the company's annual growth and we don't want to miss out on that growth for some silly wedding! November is a better time plus we are almost done with all of the arrangements it'll be a quick and intimate gathering..honestly in my eyes so much better than a spring one" Nathan rambles on infuriating Ayla even more.
