~With the last button clipped on his suit and his hair pulled back as if he was ready for graduation, the infamous surfer boy made his way outside meeting his other half. Dolled up in her usual, gratifying presence, she ran to him showering him with nothing but love and kisses that seemed to push the boiling shit away. That seemed to push the ever lying issues they had as a couple. That seemed to put the bandage in the right wound just enough to keep it still, however never enough to have it completely heal.~

"Hey  beautiful you ready for another one of these?" he smiles, wrapping his arms around Jen's waist.

"Ready as I'll ever be handsome, but um you do remember what we talked about? The proper et-" she smiles as he covers her mouth.

"Shh, I've been through this a million times, I know how your parents get. We got this I promise" he smiles, kissing her head.

"Ok good, come they are waiting for us" she sighs, taking his hand as they both walk towards his car.

He turns back, smiling at his parents "Meet you there?"

"Sure thing love! we'll be over there in a few!" Jean smiles, waving.

He smiles and waves back, unlocking the car "This is going to be one hell of a ride".

She giggles, grabbing his hand as he starts the car "Eveything will be ok, I promise and if there are any slip ups I'll cover you up".

~Yeah, like that was going to help him. As many of these dinners Jack had encountered, you'd think he'd got it by now? Completely and utter bullshit. Her parents were ones to be very welcoming, whether new or known very well. They had prestigious morals and attributes that would call attention to any manner or aspect that didn't fit their criteria. Something you held was something to be analyzed in many different, formal ways. It was never easy to get through an entire meal with grace and laughter drawn throughout the air. However, his relationship wasn't so easy either.~

He pulls up to her house, sighing "However this goes is however it goes. We will just have to wait and see".

She smiles, kissing his cheek while getting out of the car "Well come on Mr.Play It Cool, they are waiting!"

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" He giggles, getting out of the car locking it.

She wraps her arms around him, walking up to her door "You know sometimes I wonder why you drive over here, I live one street away from you".

"Well for one thing, it's faster and it's more efficient" he smiles, knocking on the door.

"Oh really, waisting your gas instead of walking for ten minutes is efficient?" She giggles as her parents open the door.

"Hey Jack! How have you been?! It's been a month" her father smiles, shaking his hand as her mother hugs her daughter.

"Nothing much just waiting for this day to roll around again Mr.Gray!" Jack laughs, walking inside.

"Oh um jack where are your parents?" Her mother states, smiling.

"They are on their way, the last minute touch ups are very important" he smiles at both of them.

"He gets even better every month, I don't know how he does it?!" Mr.Gray laughs, sitting down at the table.

And I don't know how you two had a daughter that puts on a persona every five minutes she's with you? Talk about accepting nothing but the expectations.

"I try my best sir- oh look my parents are here!" He smiles as his parents walk through the door, making small talk.

Thank god they showed up, one less minute I have to make eye contact with these people, the better.
