"Alright class please listen, it's time to switch out the seating chart again" the teacher exclaimed as all of the kids groaned.

"Why do we have to do this all the time..can't we just keep our seats?" one of the kids asked boldly.

"No, no you may not. Now listen it's going to be boy and girl this time. Getting to know your peers especially opposite sex is good. You never know, you could potentially meet your best friend for life.." the teacher explained as everyone groaned again.

As she rolled her eyes, dealing with the eight year olds in the third grade of school, she began to read the names off of her seating chart.

Jake and Ellie right here.

Justin and Kelly right behind them.

Ashton and Lauren right here front and center.

...................

And last but not least, the blondes Jack and Ayla right here.

The blonde boy turned towards the beauty he witnessed in front of him and held his hand out.

"Hi, I'm jack.."  he simply stated through a smile.

With one eye roll and a strut to her seat, Ayla had completely ignored the blonde's advances in an attempt to focus on her studies and her studies only. She was young sure, but her goals and priorities were set straight even when she was supposed to be spending her childhood exploring and playing in the wonders of the playground. She was stubborn, but for a good reason and to let a boy into those plans would just ruin the entire dynamic she had set up for herself.  So the beauty chose to stay silent as he continued with his advances.

"Ok then, everyone take out their blue workbooks" the teacher simply stated.

"Hey..I'm jack" jack smiled, holding out his hand as Ayla continued to ignore him.

"Please turn to page 57" the teacher nodded.

"Shh.." Ayla whispered, turning the pages in her book.

"Ok..um, remember me? I'm jack, the guy you said hi to and never spoke to again" jack whispered, getting his book out as well.

"Shh.." she shook her head, trying to listen to the teacher.

"Everyone is working in the books independently.. I don't know why you're whispering shh" he whispered, turning towards her.
