Third Person POV

Percy and Fedyor spent the rest of the day cooped up in the Coporalki anatomy room. Fedyor showed Percy how to identify where organs were and how to feel the blood flow through their veins. She never tried it out on anyone but rather, focused on her own body. She didn't feel ready to try it on someone else.

The sun set and the sky grew dark but the two friends didn't take notice of the time passing until they were pulled out of their little bubble by someone clearing their throat.

The two snapped their heads towards the door and saw Ivan standing before them with his signature stern look.

"What are you two doing in here? You are not supposed to be here," he strictly stated. The last bit was directed towards the demigod.

They both stood up to address the man but Fedyor rushed to his side, "Ivan, don't worry. I was just assisting Percy with identifying organs and the direction of blood flow."

That did little to change the head Heartrender's mind, "She is a Tidemaker. She has no place in our rooms."

"Actually, grumpyface. I'm not exactly your typical Tidemaker. Or do you not remember me helping to save your ass in the forest on our way here?" Persassy reminded Ivan of the drüskelle attack from a few days ago.

The man huffed and his eyes were drawn to the other Heartrender by his side. Fedyor looked at Ivan with pleading eyes and the stern man let out a sigh in resignation. He could rarely resist him anyways.

"Fine, but you are not to be unaccompanied here," Ivan grumbled out.

Percy smiled in victory and Fedyor smiled in thanks towards his partner. "I knew you'd come around. Now what's your name? I've been calling you the mean Heartrender this whole time because I don't know your name," Percy asked.

Fedyor looked slightly amused after learning what she called Ivan in her head but the other man was not fazed.

"This is Ivan," Fedyor formally introduced while looping his arm through the head Heartrender's arm. He placed his other hand on Ivan's bicep while smiling at Percy.

Percy let her eyes flicker between the two and noticed how they reacted towards each other. Fedyor clung to his arm and held it like he was clutching his favorite teddy bear. Ivan's cold eyes seemed to thaw when he looked at the other man but steeled once again if his attention were to be pulled away. They seemed to be magnetically drawn to each other where they leaned into the other's body. This reminded Percy of her cousin and husband.

"Are you two together?" she bluntly asked.

The two men looked at Percy with wide eyes at the bold question. It took them both by surprise but Fedyor was the first to answer the curious woman.

"Yes, we are. Ivan is my other half and I would like to think that we make each other very happy," he told Percy with a smile and looked to his partner at the end of his statement.

Ivan looked to Fedyor and met his eyes with a barely traceable smile. He looked at him for a moment before turning to Percy, his eyes once again cold. Percy noticed the look in Ivan's eyes and rolled her eyes.

"Oh don't worry, grumpy. I'm not gonna say anything bad about you two. My cousin is happily married to his husband back home so I have no room to judge," Percy said. Right as the words exited her big mouth, she realized that she was supposed to have amnesia. Dam it, she thought.

Ivan and Fedyor both picked up on the fact about her family but also the way her heartbeat went up when she said it.

"Percy, I thought you didn't remember anything about your family or past," the Heartrender she classified as her friend said in a questioning tone.
