Double D set his papers across the table accordingly.

Over the years, he had helped his friends and a few other people who knew him with their homework, projects, or anything school-related.

It got to the point where a teacher allowed him to become the grade's tutor.

Of course, he was happy to take the offer, as it would look good on his resume.

He didn't have many people to tutor at first.

But when high school came around...

He was always at the school after hours.

He didn't necessarily mind it, as he figured out a schedule that would allow him to get all of his chores done as well after.

After a while of helping everyone, he started to fall behind on his own work.

Due to this, he told the people that were doing good enough to at least pass that they didn't need a tutor anymore.

This wasn't something that he personally wanted to do, but after Eddy yelled at him saying it wasn't selfish and that he needed to concentrate on himself, he considered it.

However, the people who severely needed his help stayed.

He didn't mind helping them, and he felt great after they tell him that they passed their test with a smile.

Double D checked his watch.

He did have everyone scheduled for a specific day, however.

Not just a random person can come in for help.

But of course, as if the world wanted to make things worse...

That morning Edd looked at his schedule for who he was tutoring today.

Peer: Eddy

Of course, it was Eddy.

He almost texted him to tell him that he would understand if he didn't want to come in today.

But he couldn't bring himself to it.

This tutor session would be perfect for a conversation.

It was private and quiet.

Double D told himself that if he didn't arrive within thirty minutes of his session, then he would leave.

He gave him time as Eddy was hard with decisions.

He seemed to know him a little bit too well.

To kill some time, he looked at Eddy's improvement in English and Math.

The only problem that he had was transitions and not forgetting negatives and such.

It was very simple, and Edd wished that he could be next to him during a test or a timed write, reminding him of such easy things.

He would pass, surely.

But the quiet time also gave Edd some time to plan out his words for Eddy.

He wanted to apologize for the night before, but he didn't know how to word it.

Obviously, he hadn't been careful with his words lately, and he wanted to fix that as soon as possible.

Or use extremely difficult words on Eddy, ones complete out of his vocabulary.

He looked down at his hand, realizing that he had been ripping off his nails.

Why was he nervous?
