It was graduation day.

Luckily, they had all managed to graduate.

Together.

Edd's parents only came to see his own child do his walk and then they had to leave.

Didn't get a picture with him afterward, or anything.

Ed got pictures with his sister and family and insisted on getting one with Eddy and Edd.

Which, of course, they obliged.

Eddy's parents weren't to be seen.

And he was glad that his brother wasn't to be seen either.

He was fine with his parents not coming.

He felt that he would be more disappointed if they did come.

"I must say, Ed, I am awfully proud of you." Double D said while patting Ed's shoulder.

"Yeah, I agree, you really pulled through," Eddy replied, on Ed's other side.

"Thanks, guys! We did it together, just like you said, Eddy!"

Double D smiled at this.

Eddy chuckled.

"Yeah, I guess I did. I mean, of course, I did, I know everything about you guys after all."

"Ha, ha." Double D said mockingly.

Before Eddy could annoy any of them longer, Ed's parents called for him and his sister.

It was just Double D and Eddy now.

Double D's arms went limp, falling in front of him, still holding onto his diploma.

He was looking down at it.

"Hey, Sockhead, did you get a pic with your folks?"

Edd rolled his shoulders.

"No, Eddy. I saw them for a split second, and then..."

"Pricks."

Double D looked over at him.

He almost defended them, saying that they were busy.

But this was a very important day.

He just sighed in response.

"I'll take a picture with you, man."

Edd laughed.

"But then we would need Ed too," he said slowly.

"Nah, just me, because I'm cooler than your parents. I'm your new dad for just one picture, 'kay?"

Double D laughed, admiring his consideration.

"You just want a picture with just me, huh?"

"Well, yeah, but also you need something since your dumb parents aren't here."

So, they got their picture taken together.

It was enough for Double D.

It did make him feel better for not getting one with his parents.

But he didn't know if he was going to admit that to Eddy just yet.

He noticed a lot of the kids going back inside the school.

Mainly to the gym and auditorium area.

He tilted his head.

He watched people around him.
