Also about the parentheses, I like to head canon that Bartleby DOESNT have a really squeaky, high pitched voice, and that he just can't talk, so he only uses sign language. Which he is really embarrassed about because he grew up in an environment where using sign language wasn't common, and anyone who was different was ridiculed. So he likes to just pretend he can't talk.
Also he and Tilly were friends when they were younger and are not romantically interested in each other okay bye have a nice day!
