" Hey grandma" I say

"Skylar" she says in a sad and almost like she was crying voice.

"Grandma what happened" I say getting really worried.

" Come home immediately"

"Grandma-"

"Your mom and dad, they they- died" and as she said that I did the last thing you can imagine I dropped my phone to the ground and ran away.

I kept running and running, I didn't know where I was going, tears were flowing like a river, I was confused, lost, and I was alone.

I later found out I was in the woods, and I didn't know where to go. I got tired from running so I just sat down. it was cold and I didn't have a phone.

I kept on crying, my parents are gone, everything is ruined. how will I pay for my college, will they kick us out of the house. I didn't know what to do.

I heard something move so I looked up, everything was blurry for me. but then I saw light. I thought I was now dead, the light kept coming closer to me so I stood up, I was scared.

Suddenly my grandma appeared infront of me. I couldn't form words. I kept on staring and pinching myself

"I'm dead aren't i " I said when I could speak

"Skylar, there is a lot we need to talk about"

"Are you even real?"

"Skylar concentrate with me"

"You were flying for gods sake, you're dressed up in all that witchy clothes and you have a wand, do you expect me to hug you and tell you I missed you so much, what if you aren't my real grandma"

" I can explain now come with me "

Without saying another word she used her wand and suddenly we were somewhere else, there were elves, other witches and weird creatures.

"What is this place" I mumble

"Skylar welcome to witch land"

"Oh my god"

"Meet Gernard, he is the witch master, he is the strongest witch here, he gives us the powers, I'm the second strongest witch after Gernard, so if anything happens to him, I'd be in charge." she says pointing to an old guy, standing with other witches

"And what will that help me in, I want explanations grandma not meeting your friend witches"

"Come on I'll tell you everything"

We then reached a room, my grandma opened the door and we entered, she sat down and motioned for me to sit down.

"In our family, your great great great great grandmother Cecilia, was the greatest witch of all time, and every generation there is one lucky child that gets those powers, if they know how to use them they get the full powers, if not then they don't." She says

" and it's been centuries since someone got strong powers, they all fail, Cecilia was the enemy of Harvard an evil witch that lived in the west, killed Cecilia and took all her powers and hid them."

"I searched for the powers for years and years but I couldn't find them, Harvard became the greatest witch of all and killed most of the witches, we then built a wall to keep us safe in the witch world"

"But that didn't stop Harvard, he knew that Cecilia came from our family so he wanted to kill me, but he couldn't, so when Cole was born we hid him, he left us alone cuz he wasn't meant to be a witch.Then you were born and we thought Harvard was gonna leave, he found out you were the one that was gonna have the greatest powers in the family and you were a threat to him, since you were born and he cursed you, that when you turn 17 everything bad will happen and he will kill all your family, that's why I gave you the necklace, it had some powers I developed to save you, but you were t even listening to me, it was supposed to keep you safe abit"

" Aren't you the strongest witch here why don't you create something that will remove the curse" I ask

"I'm the strongest not the greatest, only great witches can do positions to break the spells, no one can except them"

"And isn't there any great witch other than Harvard"

"No, you are the only one "

"What do I do"

"You were meant to be a witch, you have witch blood but you don't have the powers to become a great witch"

" so Cole isn't a witch"

"No, he isn't, you are the only one in centuries that have the signs of a great witch"

"But I don't have the great witch powers"

"That's why you need to get them back"
