I went to my room and called Xavier without thinking.
"Hi" I said

" How are you?"

"I'm good I guess, Xavier is there something wrong"

I stayed quiet for a while, I was gonna tel, him everything that happened with me but stayed quiet.
" Nothing, I gotta go bye"

"Don't worry Xavier I'm okay I just have to go"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes" I said tears were almost gonna fall of my eyes so I just told him bye and closed the phone.

"Ughhhh" I mumbled when I remembered that disgusting word, trying to wake up from my monstrous sleep

I went stood up quickly and changed into my black pants and pink sweater and boots. I quickly tied my hair and went down stairs.

"Goodmorning grandma "

"Goodmorning sweety" she said trying to look happy, but I dont think she was.

"Yeah grandma Cole is coming for a few days to stay with us, he says he has nothing in collage"

"Oh that's great"

"Yes, oh my I have to leave bye grandma"

"Skylar no matter what happens stay strong"

"Okay grandma" I said weirdly

I rushed to my car which I just got back and went to school, I had math first period which is torture!! I was going to get my books for the next period when jake stopped me by grabbing my hands so hard I almost end screamed

"Owchhhh" I say struggling to get free

"I know what you are" he says his eyes blank

"What are you talking about" I say scared

"You are one of them" he says angrily

"What? Jake leave me" his grip getting harder
"I will kill you"

"Ahhhhhh" I screamed trying to catch anyone's attention but everyone was already in classes

"Leave her alone" a deep familiar voice says

"No, I'll kill her"
"Leave her" the voice says again

"She is dangerous she will kill us all jake says

"Xavier help me" I say in pain, he was gripping my hand so hard that I heard it crack
suddenly Xavier runs to him and hits him hard he loses his balance and falls dropping me with him, he tries shocking me, I hit him with my other hand and Xavier hits him hard in the face and jake grabs the nearest thing to him a hits Xavier with it,

Xavier falls to the ground but rises back up and hits jake so hard aging in the face and makes him go unconscious, I just stay there crying, catching my hand that was now purple.

"Are you alright" he asks me
I just nod

"Come on I'll carry you we need to go to the hospital"

I nod again I don't have energy to speak, my throat hurts and my hand is killing me and I don't think anyone is in the mood, halfway through the car drive I speak.

"How did you know I was in trouble when your not in my school?" I say my voice raspy

"I have my sources" he says facing me

"Oh god your bleeding" I say noticing a deep cut when he turned to face me

" it's okay I'm fine"

"No wait let me-"

"It's okay now what's important is your hand and throat? What did he want from you ?"

"I don't know honestly"

"You have to be careful Skylar be Careful"

"Why is everyone saying that amd not telling me what's happening"

"is everyone telling you that?

"Yes"

"Maybe because you deserve that love and care because you are amazing"

"Thank you for saving me" I say blushing

He just smiles this beautiful smile and looks to the road, he is very handsome I think in my mind

Moments later we reached the hospital, I was scared because of my hand and didn't want to hurt anyone else

"Excuse me she is hurt and we need a doctor to see her"

"Okay take a seat please"

we wake to the place the nurse told us about and sat down, I started playing with my hair because I was nervous.

"Ms. Johnson?" A doctor calls

"Yes here" I say

"Come please"

Hours later I was sitting in a hospital bed with a cast on my hand, they said it was nothing seriously but still I had to leave it on

"Are you ready to go home"

"Yes comeon"

"We reached half an hour later, greeted by a worried grandma

"Oh my god dear what happened"

"Nothing grandma I'm fine I just need to sleep"

"Dear-"

"Don't worry grandma I'm fine go to bed please"

"Okay dear goodnight"

"Goodnight"

"I guess I'll leave then" Xavier said

"You can come in if you want"

"I don't wanna annoy you maybe later"

"Okay then goodbye" I say staring at him and he was starting at me, suddenly he was getting closer and leaning in, I felt a rush of heat through my face, but then my grandma came from behind us and coughed loudly

"Goodnight Xavier" she said eyeing him

"Umm, goodnight madam, Skylar I'll call you" he says disappearing into his car

"You young lady go to sleep" she says once he leaves
