'I told you to be careful, Jungwon.' Jake scolded. 'now none of you are going to touch those.'

Jake was applying some of the first aid he had carried with him to treat Jungwon's wound before he went off to bed. He poured some rubbing alcohol which made the boy hiss quietly but then the pain ceased when Jake carefully wrapped the hand in white bandage.

When the two of them came out after treating Jungwon's wound in the washroom, they had an encounter with Heeseung.

'Jungwon, I'm really sorry, I wasn't in my right-

'It's fine , hyung, I'm okay, it's not your fault.' Jungwon assured with a smile and Heeseung smiled back and gently patted Jungwon's head to which the dimple boy blushed.

'Guys, I don't want to interrupt but I'm sleepy.' Jake spoke up, interrupting the two boys who flinched and looked up at the third boy and chuckled.

'Heeseung hyung, you can sleep in the ro-Oh, three people together in an odd place like the washroom, iNtErEsTiNg' Sunghoon teased when he arrived.

'shut up, Sunghoon, you're staying up with Jay tonight.' Heeseung snapped, making the smirk on the other boy's face drop.

'what ? No way, that guy asks way too many questions.' Sunghoon whined.

'and it's settled guys, I'm gonna head back.' Heeseung yawned, making his way out of the place.

'Wait, vampires don't need sleep.' Jungwon yelled to make sure the eldest had heard him.

'that doesn't mean we don't feel sleepy' was the loud reply received.

'but I won't volunteer to be with that eagle boy alone.' Sunghoon exclaimed, 'Jungwo-

'Aah, my hand h-hurts, bet I need to get a good sleep.' Jungwon stretched his hand and held back his sudden pain and quietly escaped the place and ran away without a word.

'That boy, hey, Jake, at least tell me you'll be with me?'

'uh well, I-

'will you not ?' Sunghoon pouted.

'well, you see-

Sunghoon replied but blinked his eyes aggressively and in the end Jake had to give up with a sigh, 'okay, I'll be there, AGAIN.'

'Ni-ki, why do you keep staring at the window ?' Jungwon questioned when he entered the room.

'Boy's quite observant' Heeseung, who was already lying down on the bed, stated.

'Hyung, do you think there's someone else in here other than us ?' the youngest asked. 'does anyone live here ?'

'Ni-ki, no one would like to live in an abandoned house filled with cobwebs and dust and weird things lying around.' Sunoo explained to which the younger one sulked.

'so, do you guys use sunscreen everyday? Do vampires feel cold ? Do you feel pain ? Do you eat human food ? Do you-

'gosh, shut up.' Sunghoon raised his voice slightly to stop Jay who had been repeating his questions for the 3rd time.

'I'm just curious, okay?' Jay surrendered. 'about the life of vampires.'

'then how about I turn you into one?' Sunghoon revealed his sharp fang teeth which scared Jay and he immediately shook his head and Sunghoon let out a sniff.

'you both, shut up, I'm trying to sleep in here.' Jake snapped with an annoyed face.

'how can you sleep when this guy is literally bombing me with questions ?'

'oh shut up, sunghoon, if any of you disturb my sleep again, i won't hesitate to break that neck of yours.' Jake sleepily replied.

'wow, I'm quite surprised.'

The 7 boys spurted out when they reached the Attic. Jay, jake, Sunghoon and Sunoo had brought the rest three to the attic to show them the boxes they had found.

'see, that's the box where I found the blood' Jay pointed out at an open box and indeed there were a few more packs left in it.

'wait, so if there's blood, there must be human food in there too, right ?' Sunoo asked, looking at the unopened boxes.

'only one way to find out.' Jungwon exclaimed and opened one of the boxes without a warning, earning a shriek from Sunoo and he dodged and covered his head to protect himself but then realised there wasn't anything harmful in the box. Instead, they were met with..

'beans, uh, more beans, grapes, juice boxes, and... uh, cupcakes, canned tuna ?' Jungwon confusedly called out the contents of the box.

Jay rummaged through the box along with Jungwon and exclaimed, 'uh, so we unexpectedly found food, huh ? So, wait, Jungwon don't eat tha-

Jay scolded Jungwon who was already stuffing one cupcake in his small mouth.

'woah, what did you find ?' Heeseung questioned.

'beans, juices, fruits, and uh, we had a cupcake' Jake repeated, glaring at Jungwon.

'hyung, did you have these cupcakes ?' Ni-ki questioned, examining the package. 'these expired in 2006, that's 15 years ago !'

'eeeeeeek !' Jungwon exclaimed and immediately ran out with an old rusted bottle of water.

'guys look what we-OUH, Look before you go, dimple boy-wait, where did he go?' Sunghoon looked at the other boys.

'he might have to have some 'me time' after consuming those cupcakes.' Ni-ki snorted.

'most of these are non perishable food, well, except the cupcakes, so we'll be good for a few days.' Sunoo suggested, examining the contents of the box once more.

'uhuh, but look what I found.' Sunghoon quickly joined the other 5 and placed an old dusty briefcase on the ground.

'a briefcase? But it's locked.' Jay said.

'yeah, and look at the number lock, seeing the 4 digit we need to open it, there are over 10,000 possibilities of numbers.' Jake, the brain master, said while examining.

'don't joke' Sunghoon nervously laughed.

'the digits are from one to nine and there will be plenty of number combinations and we're here without even a hint so, might as well try every possible combination.' Heeseung, who had caught up with Jake's wit, explained.

Silence followed.

'uh, who wants to volunteer?'

Silence...

'I-I'll do it.' Sunoo quietly answered since no one wanted to take so much pressure.

'thanks Sunoo, your help is appreciated.' Jake said.

Well, at least, now Sunoo had something he could spend his days with.
