.

It was unusual. Abnormal, even.

Marikuu hadn't answered Ryou's texting at all.

Maybe Ryou said something out of line?

Maybe the sentimental speeches they gave were too much for Marikuu and his cold heart to handle. After all, Marikuu wasn't known as the biggest danger in Domino for nothing; what made Ryou think that he'd open up like that?

Maybe what he said was a sign of pity. Maybe he pitied Ryou for feeling so stupid, so he made up a random story for his own entertainment.

Oh Ra, anything but that. He had thought to himself. Math was his least favorite subject, which explained why he was twiddling around with his pencil and pondering to himself. Marikuu had been on his mind almost all morning, considering how he never responded to any of his text messages. Hell, he even tried to call him once, which was very new.

Ryou reached into his pocket and pulled out his tiny device known as a phone to check if they were read. Third times the charm... as they say...

You
I think we opened up about a lot of stuff yesterday. I'm happy to know that's how u truly felt, and happy that u could share it with me. Maybe we can go to ur place today?
Hello?
Marikuu??

Delivered . 7:30AM

Ryou frowned. "Damnit." He quietly swore to himself.

crinkle!

Ryou nearly jumped at the sound of something getting thrown at the back of his head, and immediately turned around while scratching it. He assumed it must have been a mistake, thinking it was probably one of the mangy boys in this class throwing paper around with their friends. Until, he scanned the room more, and, of course,

It was from Bakura.

Ryou gave his brother a frown. Bakura laughed quietly, obviously not wanting to get caught by their teacher. Ryou rolled his eyes, and was about to turn away until Bakura threw another paper and caught his attention again.

What? Ryou mouthed.
Read it you fool! Bakura mouthed back at him aggressively.

Ryou turned around and slowly and quietly uncrinkled the paper thrown at him. He began to read it to himself in his head.

ur mind seems clouded, ive never seen u check ur phone so many times
is it marikuu??

Ryou had noticed how there was a large space underneath the short paragraph, and realized that this was going to be a possibly long back and forth throwing conversation. Despite the annoyance, how else could they communicate? Bakura was straight across from Ryou, and Bakura didn't like using his phone for useless purposes.

Ryou began to jot down some sentences in dark blue pen.

yeah, he hasnt texted me all morning
its weird for him to do something like this, i suppose its gotten me a little koo-koo is all.

Ryou re-crumpled the paper, and threw it back to his brother.

This process went for half of the class session, and by the end of it, it was on Bakura's side.
