Big Hero 6 Our First (Tadashi X Reader)

First Selfie

Day passed, I'm having my hard time thinking about what kind of invention I could do. The professor said can be anything does that mean I can mix with something like music or art? While I was thinking about it while walking into the cafeteria, I was called by Honey Lemon. "Jessi!!! Over here!" She waved at me while calling me to come over to their table. Everyone was here already and I automatically walked towards them. Some of them were doing their project while some were having their meal since right now it's break time. "Alright everyone, cay cheese~"

When Honey Lemon said that, everyone began to squeeze together in front of the camera. As for me, I quickly avoid the camera by looking away. Honey Lemon noticed it and looked at me, "Jessi, you're not looking at the camera~" She said.
"I'm ok. I'm not a big fan of camera." I said.
"Camera shy?"
"Something like that."
"Oh come on. The more the merrier." Fred said as he grabbed my hand to join the group photo.
"I-It's fine. You guys enjoy yourself." I stuttered and trying to set free, without knowing how to control my strength, I slapped Fred's hand away which made everyone surprised by my action.

I realized my sudden action, I quickly apologized and ran back to my lab. I really bad at making friends... It just that... I'm not really into those things, more like... these life is not what I can get use to it. My previous school life is basically  hard to blend in together with those girls who talk about boys and fashion. To be honest, making friends, as an introvert really drained my energy alot. As much as I want to make friends, I just somehow couldn't do it.
"Jessi, you ok? Wanna... Talk about it?"

Tadashi came and his voice was careful. "I'm so sorry for what I did to your friend." I apologized.
"It's ok, Freddy sometime did a bit too over. Not your fault in the first place. That's how he make friends." He comforted me.
"I'm the opposite of Freddy, I'm the introvert type. I don't have this kind of energy like them. And the selfie thing, to be honest, I never really have a good picture of myself."
"I see..."

There it is... The 'I see' comment. Anyone who made this comment will end the discussion and never come and look for me again, thinking that I'm boring and no fun to hang out with. Goodbye, friend. It was nice to hang out with you.

Why is he still here?
"Ermmm..." Tadashi hesitated. "The selfie thing, have you... ever take by yourself? Or only by others?"
"Well, mostly is by others. I never held the phone before." I admitted.
"How about you try to held it yourself, that way you can adjust until you are satisfy with it."
"I see... The 'do it yourself' selfie." I said excitedly but return back to disappointment. "But then, the result will still the same."

As I was feeling discouraged, I felt a pull towards a small impact. Tadashi pulled me towards him, with his phone on the other hand up high, he commanded, "Make a funny face!"

Without giving me a chance to react, he clicked his phone camera. "There." He said.
"What did you do just now?!" I said in surprised "Why you didn't give me any warning?!"
"Sorry sorry. But look." He showed me his picture taken. "It was a nice picture right?"
"No it's not, look at me. It feel like I made a weird face." I said without looking at his picture.
"Really? But I'm making a weird face too. We are the two weirdo."

Didn't understand what he meant, I look carefully at his picture in his phone. There was a picture of me with my eyes wide open weirdly. Next to me, Tadashi was making an even weirder face than me. Two weird face but somehow, it gives a nice and refreshing shot. From there, I don't look even weird at all, in fact somehow... "Is that... Me?" I said to confirm myself.
"The one and only." He confirmed with me. "You know, selfie doesn't mean you have to look pretty. It can be like this too. You just have to find your comfortable self and then... Take a shot of the moment."

How... Could you not... Fall in love with him?

I took a quick selfie with Jessi using my phone. Her expression in the beginning was surprised, follow by the doubt as she didn't look at the picture. But once she looked at the photo, her eyes began to soften and accept the photo I had taken. Her lip began to form a small smile follow by the word, 'wow, that's me?'

Her voice was small but hearable. Her words make me felt like I had manage to open the lock of her heart. And then I began to give her a small push as an encouragement. "If you want, you can always to retake again. Taking selfie doesn't mean only one time. It can be many time too. I'm sure Honey Lemon will be happy to help you."

She looked at me and gave a small nod after she look away. We both went back where the others are. Jessi hesitated for a while and bravely walk towards to Fred and both of them apologized each other of their sudden behaviour. After that, she went to Honey Lemon and not sure what she said to her which make Honey Lemon suddenly hugged Jessi tightly and show her how to take a selfie.

Seeing her with a smile on her face, makes me feel nice.

Oh right, I remember I took a picture with her. I looked at the picture that I took with her. The surprised face she had make was so cute...

I'm gonna set this as my wallpaper. Wait what if she see it? Will she think it's weird? I think better set a password on my phone just in case.
