Chapter 10

tw: mention of abuse

tubbo pov:

i feel like no one is taking this as seriously as me, do they not understand the fucking depth of this situation? ranboo is literally back with his abusers and they think my plan is too much? nothing is too much when it comes to saving our friend, right? do they not want to save him?

am i being crazy or am i the only one who actually cares?

whether they care or not, they follow my plan: tommy and phil find a picture of his house online and they draw out rough blueprints so we can figure out the best ways to break in.

techno visits ranboo every day, like we made tristan promise. the only downside is that karen or tristan always go in ranboo's room with him, probably to make sure we don't break him out. apparently he's getting so much worse. they're making him wear 'girls clothes' like dresses and crop tops, and they've taken his binder. techno says he wants to help him, but he doesn't want his parents to stop him from seeing ranboo. he can see the faded bruises, not quite covered by concealer, and he can see the bags under his eyes from the exhaustion.

aside from checking in on ranboo, techno has been paying attention to the layout of the house. the stairs are straight ahead as soon as you open the front door and there are doors either side of the stairs; the living room on the left which leads into the kitchen/dining room. on the right, there is a small bathroom. upstairs, there are three bedrooms, ranboo's room is on the left and there's one in the middle and one on the right. there is a bigger bathroom next to ranboo's room which can be entered from his room, the middle bedroom and from the landing.

i think it's safe to say we're pretty prepared. now we just need a solid plan.

"so," i start, alerting everyone's attention as the hotel room wasn't exactly big, "we have a whole map of the house and techno knows his way around very well, since he's been there every day. we just need to figure out a way to get in."

"i actually have an idea for that." tommy says, "i'm the skinniest and the fastest out of us, so i should be the one to break in so i can move quickly once i'm in. also, looking at this map, it's definitely easier to try and come through the front, if possible, so i can make it to the stairs before they realise i'm there."

"okay, and how do you think you do that?" techno questioned.

"that's the thing- i don't know." tommy sighed.

"that's where we're stuck. how the fuck do we get inside?" i ponder out loud.

"i know how we do it," phil says after a moments silence, "techno's the strongest out of us, so he will lift tommy over the back fence and try to get in from the back." he walks over to the small coffee table in the middle of our room and points at the map, guiding us through his thoughts, "there is a shed out back which connects to the house, and leads straight into an upstairs window. if tommy can climb up that shed, he should be able to make it into the house and hope that the window is ranboo's"

"what if it's not ranboo's window?" i ask.

"then he should try and figure out which room he's in and go the right way. tommy, if you're up for this, bring this fucking map with you. don't walk into the wrong room." phil laughs.

"that sounds good, right?" techno says.

"yeah i'm up for that, what will you and tubbo do when me and techno are round the back?" tommy asks

"we can be round the front sitting in a car and looking in, trying to tell where karen and tristan are. keep your phone on you so we can text if they've spotted you. if we can't see them, you're just gonna have to be careful." phil responds.

tommy takes a dramatic breath, "okay. i've got this. we've got this."

"is that it then?" i ask, "we've covered everything?"

"the only thing that could go wrong is if his parents are with him. and if they're with him, they could be hurting him. tommy, please don't get yourself hurt if you can help it." techno says.

"okay, tommy can handle it, right?"

"i'll definitely fucking try. anything to get him out and safe." tommy states

so they do care.

"so when's this happening?" tommy continues.

"tomorrow?" i ask

"tomorrow."
