Nighttime,
Haitani's residence...Second Person's POV
Dinnertime, the Haitanis and you were sitting at the dining table enjoying the night meal together. You could converse smoothly with Ran, obviously. Rindo, in the other hand, tried his best to not attract you.
Bad move because his silence only piqued stronger curiosity in you.
"Rindo, are you already okay? No more fever?"
You asked, concerned of the younger brother's well-being. Rindo choked on his food, smacking his chest repeatedly. Ran stared at the two of you in confusion.
"Fever? You are sick, Rin?"
"I— uh.... Yea, sort of... But I'm good now."
Rindo bluffed, sweat rolled down the side of his head. Ran could easily tell something was fishy with his little brother. He simply accepted his answer by nodding his head. He could ask him the truth later.
You smiled at Rindo's reply. "Glad to know that. Look after yourself properly, okay? Don't want you to fall sick again."
Rindo's cheeks tinted with pink hue. You kept making him blush today even though it was done unintentionally. Usually, it would be the other way around.
"I mean, falling sick isn't that bad... I got you to take care of me, (Y/n). The chicken porridge you made earlier was so damn delicious. I would be the luckiest man in universe to have you as my wife." Rindo teased. You were caught off guard by his statement.
"I don't think you want me as your wife- I can only cook basic stuffs!"
"That is why people say practice make perfect. If you sharpen your cooking skill, you will surely surpass me or Ran-niisan nytime soon."
Rindo added before giving you one of his egg rolls. You accepted his offer without a second thought. Even the egg roll he cooked tasted exquisite-- on parr with five-star rated-cooking.
"But you know, dolly, I ran tons of luxurious restaurants all over Japan. So it is fine for you to not learn cooking if you marry me. I can handle everything in the kitchen~" he winked flirtatiously at you. His smile was genuinely sincere.
Rindo's flirting this time sounded serious rather than playful, as if he wanted to give hints about something. It bewildered you that he kept going on and on to have you imagine your marriage life with him.
"I may not cook as well as Rindo, but I love to do all house chores for you if we were to get married, darling." Ran didn't want to let his brother win so he answered his challenge. The older brother tugged his signature lazy but enchanting smile.
"Oho, that is your move , huh? So, (Y/n). Which one of us you are more willing to marry? Me or my brother?" The mullet-haired man asked eagerly.
You got yourself thinking for a moment as you munched on the egg roll. ' Both of them have good qualities as husbands. Any women would die to have a husband who can cook and is willing to do house chores. Rindo can literally cook anything but lacks the hardwork to do chores.. Ran can only cook simple things but he is the best at doing house chores. Both of them lack what the other has. Hm...'
