TWO YEARS AGO, (Y/n)'s company building...
Third Person's POV
(Y/n) was doing her work in the office, tending to some important documents while listening to (favourite song) playing on her personal computer. She glanced at the clock , checking on the time.
It had passed 9.30 a.m., yet her right-hand woman hadn't showed up to work.
"...Rai is late." The female CEO murmured under her breath. It was rare for Rai to be late to work. She was always punctual.
Knocking on the door snapped her out of her trance. "Come in." Her voice, lack of emotion, spoke up giving permission.
The door opened, revealing Rai. She was smiling- more like, forcing herself to smile - at her boss. "Morning, Milady. Pardon my tardiness. Something personal came up and I couldn't make it in time to arrive on time..."
The blondie's voice cracked a little as she talked. Rai mentally cursed when she almost stammered on her words.
(Y/n) silently stared at her personal assistant. She could see it. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying.
(Y/n) didn't reply to Rai's apology and proceeded to walk over to her. The younger woman felt shivers ran down to her spine. Was her boss mad? Of course she was. She despised irresponsible people who didn't do their work properly.
