Author POV

*ring* *ring* *ring*

Haechan's alarm went off reminding him that it was now a new day and another day where he is expected to run errands for those who are higher and lower than him at his job. Haechan isn't an idiot he is very much aware that the good-for-nothing people at his job don't take him seriously and talk behind his back.

He's gotten used to how people treat him but that doesn't mean it doesn't still get to him. He wants to prove himself and show that he got into the best department in Seoul for a reason, the problem is no one is willing to give him a chance. Sometimes Haechan does want to fight back, but he fears that if he starts he won't be able to stop.

"Ok, time to get up," Haechan says after contemplating whether work was really worth it all. Haechan lives in a nice-sized apartment, it's way bigger than needed but what can he say the job does pay well.

He makes his way to his bathroom and begins his morning routine. After taking his quick hot shower he wraps a towel around his waist and stops in front of the mirror to admire himself. Now Haechan doesn't have a huge ego but he is aware of how good-looking he is, face and body. Too bad none of that matters since he is a known coward.

"Milky, Come eat" Haechan yells filling up the dog bowl, causing the dog to come running to him happily.

"ahh, you're so cute, eat. I'll be back later" Haechan says leaving the house and heading to his car prepared to leave.

Haechan's POV

"Okay," I say letting out a long breath as I pull into the parking lot of my workplace. I take the walk to the front door and stand there not yet ready to enter. I take a deep breath in and ex-

"Can you move out of the way? you're blocking the door" some guy says bumping into me.

Don't do it Haechan.

"ah yes, sorry," I say opening the door up for him and bowing politely only to receive a scowl from him.

Ugh, I did it again.

I walk into the office keeping my head down to avoid eye contact, which never seems to work. I head to my unit with my team. Every person plays a part in the team, sadly my part is going to get coffee or lunch, it's not much but at least I can do something.

"Good morning," I say knowing that it will most likely go unnoticed. After realizing no one would respond I just go to my desk and sit and wait for someone to use me as their assistant.

40 minutes later

"errand boy" Finally someone needs me.

"Yes," I say standing attentively. Sometimes I expect them to actually want me to do something, but it's always.

"Go get some coffee," he says handing me a list of things people want.

"Yes, sir," I say taking the paper and putting on my coat.

I start to head out but I overhear my teammates speaking about cases that they have yet to solve.

"They call them the 'CHU KILLER' " I overhear a teammate saying.

"They've never been caught" I hear another say.

I decide to stop eavesdropping and leave out to go collect the coffee. I make it to my car when I come up with an Idea to gain some respect.

"No, that's a dumb idea," I say out loud interrupting my thoughts. I quickly go get the coffee and get back just in time for the team meeting. Although I don't actually work on cases I am still supposed to come to the meeting because I am a part of the team.
