Haechan's POV

Last night made me realize that the people at my job will never actually see me as a real detective, they just see me as an extra in their lives. After the company diner, I came straight home and started thinking about things, when the thought crossed my mind for the second time. I need to catch the CHU killer. I don't have work today so I can put my time into something useful. The files are in a room that only top detectives can access. I need to find a way into that room.

Since no one ever acknowledges me I'm always able to listen in on conversations and I know that Minhyuk has a keycard in his wallet. Since today is Tuesday I know exactly where he will be. So I pull my phone out and make a call.

"Jeno let's hang out today, I have a place in mind, let Jaemin know," I say walking back into my house just getting back from a long run with Milky.

"I'll text you the address, and time we'll meet up," I say hanging up afterward. Jeno, Jaemin, and I have been best friends since we were younger. Jeno has a huge crush on Jaemin but he doesn't dare to confess. They're honestly so cute.

8 hours later ( 9:00 PM)

"Haechan over here" I hear as soon as I walk into the bar. The bar is filled with people around my age, the smell of alcohol and sweat in the air. This is my first time at this bar and to be honest, I expected more from Minhyuk since he likes to brag about how classy he is.

"Hey guys," I say sitting down picking up the soju bottle and giving myself two shots.

"Ok chill out, you just got here," Jaemin says grabbing the bottle from me, with a worried look.

"Let him drink, you know he's lonely," Jeno said taking the bottle back earning a glare from both of us but for different reasons.

"First off I'm not lonely, me and milky are doing just fine with just us two," I say matter of factly.

"You need a boyfriend," Jeno says with a "sure, I believe you" look.

"Speaking of boyfriends, I have one" Jaemin says with a bright smile. I quickly look at Jeno and watch the smile on his face fall.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Jeno says quickly heading to the bathroom.

"Really, Jaemin?" I say with a disappointed look. Earning a confused look from him.

"What," he says. He seems genuinely lost.

"Are you serious?" I ask quite shocked at his confusion.

"Jeno likes you. You idiot," I say smacking the back of his head

"Oww...wait he likes me," Jaemin says all too excited while rubbing the back of his head.

"You're way too excited for someone who has a boyfriend," I say taking another shot of soju.

"I can just break up with him, he doesn't matter anyway," Jaemin says getting up with a smile.

"Wait, where are you going," I ask grabbing his arm.

"To the bathroom," He says with a smirk.

They are something else I think to myself while smiling. I was going to take another shot when I see the person I came here for and he is wasted. I get up and walk in his direction purposely bumping into him while taking his wallet. I look over my shoulder while walking away to make sure he hasn't noticed. I make my way to a dark corner searching his wallet for the keycard.

"Got it," I say taking it out and slipping it into my pocket. I walk back into the crowded area making my way to the bartender.

"I found this wallet on the floor," I say handing the wallet to her and walking away only to bump into someone, causing me to drop my phone.
