It was the last day of junior year and honestly, I couldn't be happier. Just one more year and I'm out of this town and out of this school.
Bluedale was a small town for the 'rich', a small town filled with some of the lesser-known elites of America. A place full of rich pompous bitches. I can't lie and say that I'm not one of those people, because I am.
Bluedale Prep was the only school in this town, seeing that we have quite a small population it makes sense. What didn't make sense though was the fact that we had to board on campus. Well maybe it did, our parents were hardly in town and there would be no one at home so we'd have to stay by ourselves and the school just couldn't have that, now could they?
As I walked to the common area on campus I heard someone call my name.
" Lily!" My friend Marceline said calling me over. She was sitting with all her friends, and notice how I said her friends they aren't my friends. I don't like them and they don't like me.
"Hey, Mace," I said, walking over and giving her a hug.
Throwing my backpack on the table I took a seat right next to her. " We were just talking about 'never kiss and tell'". she said.
I was almost embarrassed to be sitting here with them, who even cares about that stupid game anymore?
Mace moves her hand over Aaron's shoulder pulling him into her " Aaron here was just telling me how much he's looking forward to our little small-town tradition".
" Yeah? I didn't know a grown-ass boy could be that pathetic. What's there to look forward to?" He smirked when I said those words as if he just wanted to get me upset.
Elizabeth, Mace's other best friend looked at me from across the table judgingly, I've never figured out why she had it out for me but I guess only time will tell.
"Maybe Aaron's looking forward to it because he wants my lips all over him, right Aaron?" If not having respect for your boyfriend was a personality trait, she had it best.
He was sitting right next to her, but who am I to talk if he looks like he's digging it? Every time she talked about being with someone else intimately his eyes brightened. I guess he wants a three-way. Not my business.
" Why aren't you excited? Huh? Your parents are the face of it, the first ones to actually get married after playing the game." That's the problem, now everyone expects me to have this perfect little love story just because my parents fell in love after playing.
It's all they ever talk about and it's all the kids at this school ever talk about. It's honestly so annoying. I've seen what love does to you. Just because they're married and in love doesn't mean they don't have a bunch of problems.
"It's nothing to look forward to, and like I've said before. Just because my parents fell in love after playing the game doesn't mean I want to do it too."
