" Well, I know who I'll be boarding with". I bet she did, Liz could get any teacher to do what she wants. I've tried it before let's just say a couple of them don't like me.
"But we don't do coed dorms here, remember? " Marceline's voice seemed quiet when she asked as if maybe she was counting on it not changing. Maybe she didn't like the sound of coed dorms.
" Well, we do now. Don't we Lily?" I rolled my eyes at her and shrugged my shoulders, pretending I didn't know. She must've heard May discuss it this morning.
With the help of my phone lunchtime passed with ease. I didn't need to take part in any of their dumb conversations, I wasn't interested in that. Not sure if I ate this morning but it isn't a big deal since I'm not hungry now. It's a bad habit I know but, breakfast isn't that important to me and neither is lunch. Dinner, on the other hand, that's my world. Most times it's the only thing I eat each day.
When the lunch bell rang I hurriedly left the lunch room because I didn't want to attend any of my other classes and I knew that if any of my other teachers saw me, they'd expect me to be in their class. They can be so nagging sometimes, really pisses me off.
Sneaking off campus wasn't something I was particularly proud of but it wasn't something I was going to stop doing. No matter what, If I don't wanna be on campus I'm leaving with or without their permission.
The security guard Mr.Matthews is my little friend, he always helps us to sneak out. Even though I pay him five dollars to keep it a secret.
As I approached the school gate he stretched out his hand " Pay up" he didn't even wait for me to speak, he already knew what was up. " Man, Mr.Matthews you couldn't even wait until I said something? " I said jokingly. " I'm always here for you little Lillian, I know the contract that I must fulfill, especially if it brings me extra money".
" Alright, alright, " I said waving as he opened the gate. My favourite cafe was five minutes from campus. They have the best coffee, THE BEST. Coffee over food any day. Well maybe not, coffee over breakfast and lunch.
I made sure to walk faster, maybe I was in need of some good coffee. Yeah, that's it. So in about three minutes, I'm there at their door. As I step inside the smell of coffee fills my nostrils, this is what it feels like to be blessed.
This cafe had a library where you could just pick up a book and read it when you come for your morning, afternoon, or night coffee and I guess that's what made me love it so much. So it isn't just the coffee.
Walking up to the register I see my favorite waiter Elliott. " The regular? " He asked. " Yeah". I replied.
My favourite spot was closer to the back where the air conditioner was colder and my favourite genre of books resided. I made my way to the back of the cafe only to see someone there.
" What the fuck". I whispered under my breath.
