"As a cowardly author once thought, 'what's yours is mine, and what's mine is still mine.'"

"Urgent news!" A hooded person ran through the large doors. They supported themselves with their hands on their thighs as they took large huffs of breath. The other people in the room only blankly stared at him, it couldn't be that important...
"The boss has personally solicited the presence of all of you for her Tea Party!" Immediately, the expressions on the people changed. A Tea Party...not a regular one...if one of them does not show up they will be subjected to execution immediately, that wasn't even half of what would actually happen.
They gulped, but many of them were busy at the time. The boss wasn't trying to test their limits again...right? Lou, who was in the middle of the group of people looked up at them, and Jin who saw his expression was obliged to explain.
But before he could, Lou interrupted him with a crestfallen face. "How dangerous is it this time?" He seemed to be learning well, whenever something involving Rina was to pop up it should automatically ring his death alarms.
"One of the most dangerous events of the whole year, no, scratch that, the most dangerous event of the year." Even more than the other events held?
Even more than the Hunting Festival mentioned that would end up as a battle royale that would last for a week? Or Debut Party that would have young members test their limits of survival and practice, occasionally even seniors had to participate in? Or even the Opening Ceremony that would determine if a person was worth to let in the guild?
If those were already that bad...how bad would the Tea Party be?
"Even if the punishments and events are horrid to witness, that's not the reason why everyone is so cautious of it. It's 'cause it can happen anytime and how many times the boss wants. Lucky year, we only get 2, worst was 10." Masala covered the her lower face as her skin paled.
Early Grey coughed two as if to signal everyone to calm down, they did but still remained shaken. "Compose yourselves, this is only the second time this year, Jin tell your sister to hurry up her operation, even she would not be spared if she was caught late." Jin Xuan nodded before leaving the room in a hurry.
"Hey hey, do you think if I'm late the mistress will punish me~?" Another person in the room poked at Earl Grey's cheek and let of huffs with a intoxicated expression. Honestly, it didn't creep Lou out, it really creeped Lou out. 'BDSM foreplay fanatic?!'
(Lou)

He really didn't want to remember what he just heard. These were suppose to be respectable assassins, instead they're just a bunch of weirdos that are like cattle to Rina, expendable tools that help her get over her greedy for more money.
'Why do all of them have to be so quirky?! Aren't they just suppose to be canon fodder?! Why can't they just act like normal strict assassins that get their jobs done?!' Lou was having a internal argument not known to the rest of the members since Jin was gone.

"Make sure to tell them all to announce their titles too since the Grade Duke might be suspicious if I suddenly invited random common people over. Better to make him think we are just having a normal tea party." Rina sipped her rosemary tea with a satisfied expression.
Her expression staunched up when she read Jin Jun Mei's report though, her brows knitted slightly only slightly after a while. 'That damn wh*re actually figured it out huh? Well, mei mei won't have to stay too much longer.''
Even though she gave them enough tips to make them go bankrupt, truly, that whole kingdom was filled with a bunch of simpletons. Crushing her tea cup's handle as she thought about where she originated, her expression remained slightly irritated.'This is why I don't like to get help from such NPCs, but it was inevitable. The king and his successor's brains were just full of shit.' Motioning for her personal maid to bring her a new cup since she broke a handle, she immersed herself in her thoughts in the mean time.

Why was everyone so afraid of a fragile noble woman called Rina Bellrose? Simple. It's because she knows everything, yet doesn't reveal anything about herself at all.
As one would say, knowledge is power, and what people don't understand scares them. Mix them together and you have Rina's destructive whimsical personality.
You could be her most trusted loved person one moment, but in another your head could be rolling off the guillotine stage.
She turns the tides of battles, reveals all your dirty laundry, and destroys your reputation, who would not be scared of her? In such a world where everyone is hiding at least one thing, Rina is the one enemy everyone shares.
It's not just because she's the main character, or for comedic relief , she is what the other characters fear most. Death, loss of face, exile, bankruptcy, seclusion, she could all make it happen if she so wished.
Yet, she only cares about what she wants and how she wants it. A character so perfect to toy with she will never get bored of it. And yet, she obtained one so easily in her previous life.
She has tried in many different lives to obtain something that will fill the empty feeling she feels be it power, money, pleasure, all of those feelings made her feel fulfillment at first.
But, as per her personality, she got tired of them quick. She noticed early on that she liked a specific character type and noticed something in the characters she all liked the most in her past lives.
They all resembled the original, but with each life they strayed further and further from the original's appearance. Her last chance, this was her last chance to get the so called 'original' before he becomes another background character.
Before he rises to the king position she must have him in her life, him by her side will most definitely fill that void in her heart.
After all...
It was love at first sight, or should she call it first life?

Happy? I updated. The last bit of the chapter was a little wonky, the presence and fear she strikes into other characters is not entirely unfounded. Her personality is what scares them, it's not all for comedic relief. Just wanted to make that clear. Also, tbh, her intentions were never really that secret. They're important, but it also isn't important enough not to let out whenever. Well, new perspectives when reading about Rina now I guess, about how she feels about the grand duke I mean.
Happy Thanksgiving (didn't even realize it was a holiday gift before I checked the time). I'm out, see ya next update.
