"I think not because I want to scheme, but because I want to live."

"I'm tired..." Rina laid sprawled out on her bed as a yawn escaped her. She didn't really feel like tormenting the Grand Duke and she was already done with the prince's lessons for the week. It was that time of year where everyone was busy.

"I don't want the war to end yet, and I hate Mary Sues the most. Churches and religions take a while to destroy." The down side in every one of these lives of her's was that she never had anything to do once her scheduled activities were done.

Racking her brain, Rina decided to pay a trip to her dear soon to be brother-in-law. Packing a set of clothes, she headed off to the castle without telling anybody.

"I've come to pay a visit, Your Majesty." Greeting him as she walked through the door, the king looked up from his pile of documents. A shadow came over his face as she walked closer.

"Pardon my rude behavior, I didn't schedule a meeting." Sitting down on the couch, she started to prepare her afternoon tea. She thought back to the first meeting they had, in her most recent past life. She was a noblewoman and he had not yet been crown prince.

Ah~ how time flies by so quick. Taking a sip of her tea, she reminisced about the past with a satisfied expression. The king however was disturbed by her presence in his office.

"If you have a request, please speak up." Smiling awkwardly, he tried to speak in a polite way. All he really wanted right now was to get this woman out of his office so he could finish in a peaceful atmosphere.

"Nothing in particular Your Majesty. I do have to say though, you're son needs to put in more effort into his lessons." Pouting her lips, Rina complained in a tone almost unlike her. It was too far off from her usual perfect ladylike speech.

Glancing at the woman on the couch, the king slowly opened his mouth. "Who are you?" It was too strange, although he didn't know the woman Rina too well, he knew what her most basic habits and actions were.

"Ah? I'm your soon to be sister-in-law of course, Rina Bellrose." The woman in front of him talked in a cheerful almost childlike tone. He was certain it wasn't the woman he thought he had been talking to, so then was it a assassin?

The king stood up from his seat immediately. Though, the person that was just on the couch had already prepared to slit his throat if the king took even one more action.

"Tsk tsk, Your Majesty. Because the lady had taken care of this country so well, I thought your would've been smarter about how you'd approach your discovery." Lowering his knife, the disguise he had put on slowly unraveled itself.

"Mile, get over here." A calm, familiar voice rang through the office, the king swore he saw a puppy instead of a assassin in front of him. As soon as 'Mile' ran over, Rina smacked his head with her fan, a cold expression lined her face.

"Ah~ I'm very sorry Master." Hearts appeared in his eyes as he clung to her leg. He looked like a drunk, intoxicated, dog with drool almost dripping down his mouth. Kicking him aside for now, Rina walked up to Eugene (the king).

"Pardon my subordinate's behavior, it seems I have not trained him well enough..." Glancing over at the prostrate teenager, Rina opened her black fan, covering her expression.

"I'll make sure to once I get back." Just when she was walking over to the coach, she stopped midway. A idea came to mind, much more fun than bothering the king. Her shoulders shook as she held back her laughter.

The king, seeing this, was visibly worried about what Rina would do next. Changing her directions towards the office door, she grabbed Mile by the collar, easily dragging him out with her.

"I was intending to bother Your Majesty with a little surprise visit, but I sadly have other plans that came up." Leaving after those words, the king stood there frozen in place, processing them sudden change of events.

"Now, you stupid mutt." Still dragging him, Rina ignored the officials' stares as she walked towards the entrance of the palace. Mile was struggling to not choke to death while being dragged by the collar of his jacket.

"Make yourself useful." Letting go of his collar, he dropped to the floor with a loud 'thud'. Lifting his head to look at Rina with puppy dog eyes, once he noticed she was still glaring at him, he got back on his feet swiftly.

"Of course Master." Acting like nothing happened, Mile tidied his clothes and disappeared into thin air. Letting out a sigh, Rina thought again about the pros and cons of starting that organization.

One, it's almost always a love interest that is the guild master. She can always set up one of them (top ten) as the guild master, they have strange personalities one would find in a harem.

Two, it's a source of information. She wouldn't have to pay anyone to give her info like in those mangas, she's the boss so she can find out whatever she wants with a single sentence.

Three, a main source of money for her. There are things in this world she loves more than her life and money is one of them. Being one of the wealthiest on the continent doesn't really matter, you can always get richer.

The cons were...it was a pain maintaining it and if she were caught she'd probably be executed. The scale slightly tipped over to the cons side though, but still, there are times when she is tired of it.

Author, if you're up there and actually care, listen. I'm tired of this setting, can I reincarnate into a modern one soon? It's so boring here.

The chapter was okay I guess...*dejected look* I don't feel like it's progressing enough. I think I said this once, but I know the beginning and ending of this (maybe, cause I keep on having interesting ideas for a new ending), but I'm not really sure what to put in the middle. I guess this is what they'd call a set up chapter (?) cause I'm finally doing what other villainess literature tropes do.
