"Screw you Dallas, SCREW YOU I NEVER WANNA FUCKING SEE YOU AGAIN!! And you can forget about that date too!"

"Good, you were only useful in bed. I don't want to see you anymore either!" Dally said without thinking. Once Dallas realized what he said,  Cynthia was in tears.

Cynthia was now sobbing; he was like any other guy she messed around with. Rude, used her for sex and always fucked her over.

Cynthia was sick and tired of Dallas. She wiped her tears and ran off. She ran and ran down the streets of New York, until she bumped into a man, maybe in about his late thirties.

"I'm sorry," Cynthia said, scrambling to her feet.

"No worries. If you don't mind me asking, what happened? I know I'm just a random man on the street, but as a good citizen, I want to help out." The man explained.

"Well, I went out with this guy a couple of weeks ago. Well, actually, we didn't really go out we kinda just hooked up. He had left his necklace at my house that was apparently really important to him so he came to the diner I work at and asked for it back. I gave him a bit of a hard time at first, but finally agreed that I'd give it to him if I went out with him." Cynthia paused for a moment, to catch her breath and wipe her tears that continued to fall.

"It's okay, calm down." The man reassured her.

Cynthia nodded her head and continued with her story, "So that day at the diner, after that, he left. About a week later he showed up at my college and he convinced me to skip class and go to the carnival with him. So I did. We went on a bunch of rides, ate cotton candy and even kissed at the top of the Ferris Wheel. Everything seemed so perfect. But, on the way home, we got into a stupid fight. We were yelling and I said I never wanted to see him again and I ran off. I don't know what happened to him, but here I am now..." Cynthia finished her story.

"Well my dear, I'm sorry that happened to you." The man said. "But I need to get going now, back to my wife and kids."

"Alright, bye sir." Have a nice day.

The man nodded and started to walk away. "Wait!" Cynthia hollered. The man stopped and turned around. "Yes?" He asked.

"Can I please get your name? It would make me feel like a loser that I told a random person about my life if I didn't." Cynthia explained.

The man softly smiled at her, "Samuel Smith." The guy said. Cynthia nodded and smiled, "Cynthia White."

"Well, it was nice to meet you, Cynthia White," Samuel said.

"It was nice to meet you too, Samuel Smith," Cynthia said. They both turned in their opposite directions and headed home.

As Cynthia walked home, she sobbed the whole way.

"What is wrong with me?" Cynthia asked herself. "I always choose the worst guys. A-and this one, I thought he would b-be different. I really, really, thought he would be different." Cynthia continued to talk to herself.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid Cynthia." She said as she repeatedly smacked her head, over and over again. "What is wrong with you? Why are you so stupid? Why did you need to start that conversation?" Cynthia asked herself all these questions, still while sobbing.

Once she calmed down after a bit, she continued her walk home in silence.

She finally made it home and unlocked her apartment. She stepped inside and kicked off her shoes and threw her purse to the side.

She walked all the way into her bedroom and looked into her mirror. "God, I look like shit," Cynthia muttered to herself. Her hair was in knots, her make-up smeared and her clothes crooked. She walked into her bathroom and took off her make-up, brushed out her hair and peeled off her clothes.

She stepped into the shower and turned on the water. With soap on her loofah, she tried to scrub away all the memories from earlier that day. She stayed in the shower and scrubbed at her skin until she was red.

Finally, she turned off the boiling hot water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around her. She put on some pyjamas and went into her bed.

As she smelled the reminisce of Dallas' cologne, she began to cry again. "Nothing can go right these days." She sobbed to herself.
