"More wine?"

"Definitely not. Probably should stay away from liquor for a life time." I tell Ian while I wander around his living room.

It is quite different to what I thought his apartment would look like.

One wall is completely covered in books even though I remember Tommy to be the one who read much but it gave me some kind of homey feeling.

He has a nice red couch standing in front of the fireplace that's currently crackling, the wall painted in a warm cream color.

His apartment screams comfy and secure even though that's something I never combined with Ian's characteristics.
Don't misunderstand me Ian is great but he's the type to travel a lot, be punctual and organized, always on the run.

I raise my hand and glide over the many spines of the books while I hear Ian shuffling in the background, cleaning up the dishes from our dinner.

I turn my head and decide to join him, helping him with the dishes.
He's leaning against the sink washing the plates and I grab a cloth to dry them.

"You're supposed to be my guest." He says and I shrug my shoulders taking the clean plate out of his hand.

"And I thought I'd be more than a guest." I say lightly making him chuckle.

"That's not what I meant. Of course you're family Mila." I sigh lightly at his words my eyes focusing on the plate.

At least one of the Williams family sees me like that.

"Who helped you decorate the living room?" I ask as I take the next plate making him smile down at me.

"Is it that obvious that it wasn't me?"

"To be honest yes. I just thought with you traveling all the time you wouldn't  even have enough time to decorate. You never told me about this apartment."

"Because you're right. I'm really not that often here but mom said if I take a girl here with the decorations I did-which were none- she'll walk straight back out." He says and I laugh making his eyes lit up.

"Did you take a girl here?" I ask now curious and he shakes his head.

"You're the first one." At his words my moves halter for a second before I turn my head to put the plates back into the cabinet hoping that he didn't see my cheeks heat up.

Ian is sweet. He's handsome and emotionally stable, he's literally the perfect guy..then why, why haven't I already made a move?
I had a crush on him when I was a teenager but it never really crossed my mind to go for it due to the age difference.
It seems like now it wouldn't matter.

"How's everything at Daisy's? Still a nightmare?" He asks and I turn back around thankful that he somehow sensed me being uncomfortable.

I go on to drying the glasses while I nod.

"Dana is the devil herself, I'm sure. But to my luck I didn't see much of her which is pretty sad as well because my dad is always with her."

He nods understandingly and I don't know why but something makes me keep on going. Maybe the fact that Ian is an out-stander, he's not really in the situation and has an objective look on it.

"Do you sometimes..I don't know look at a person you've known for years and feel like you're staring at a stranger?" I dare to look up at him to see his eyes on my face.

Something is hidden behind these green eyes, a secret I don't know of. His eyes are different than Tommy's, they're lighter almost translucent but right now it's the secret in them that makes them look just like Tommy's.
